Btinternet rejected my password to obtain my E mails

If you normally use an email program like Outlook or Mac Mail, try logging in to your webmail. If you can see your webmail OK, then it's likely to be a problem with the way your email program is set up.

I cannot get or send emails. my server is not working

This indicates either an incorrect password or server settings. Make sure your account is setup as follows:

IMAP
Incoming Mail Server: mail.btinternet.com
Port: 993 (this should be automatically populated if you tick the SSL Encryption)
SSL Encryption: Enabled (but not STARTTLS)
Username: your email address including the @btinternet or @btopenworld.com part
Password: your btinternet password
Root folder/path:
Folder separator: . (full stop)
Please do NOT enable "secure password authentication" (SPA). It's not needed when you use SSL encryption and won't work.
If your IMAP client supports it, we recommend you also set up the following folders:
Trash
Sent Items
Drafts
POP3
Server: mail.btinternet.com
Port: 995 (this should be automatically populated if you tick SSL Encryption)
SSL Encryption: Enabled (but not STARTTLS)

Gmail will no longer accept 'pop' remote access to accounts. You have to logon to the account via your browser and read your mail.

could be an incorrect e-mail address
call the receiver and ask them to send an e-mail to you then reply to that e-mail by clicking on the reply tab
tell them to use subject test one so that you know who it is from

To repair and reset the Windows Vista
  1. Click on Start button.
  2. Type Cmd in the Start Search text box.
  3. Press Ctrl-Shift-Enter keyboard shortcut to run Command Prompt as Administrator. Allow elevation request.
  4. Type netsh winsock reset in the Command Prompt shell, and then press the Enter key.
  5. Restart the computer.
What netsh winsock reset command does are it resets Winsock Catalog to a clean state or default configuration. It removes all Winsock LSP (Layered Service Providers) previously installed, including the potential malfunctioned LSP that causes loss of network packets transmission failure. So all previously-installed LSPs must be reinstalled. This command does not affect Winsock Name Space Provider entries.

My desktop keeps restarting and shows windows update 3 of 3. it does it over and over.

If you have a Windows Vista operating system, try this:
Try a system restore from safe mode or from the repair option VistaDVD. Other then that only solution I have is a workaround. See if youcan access safe mode F8 at the boot screen, select "safe mode withcommand prompt" at the prompt type:- Code: C:windowswinsxspending.xml C:windowswinsxspending.old.xml
C:windowswinsxscleanup.xml -> C:windowswinsxscleanup.old.xmlPress enter after each command, reboot you will still see the config updates however it will quickly dissapear and Windowswill boot normally. I would contact MS about this, for a permanent fix.If no safe mode boot with your vista dvd go past the language setup andselect the repair option Now select command prompt (BTW at the "xsources prompt type C: press enter brings you to C:/>) now run thetwo above commands.

If you find this works you may be able to permanently remove the"Update" go to C:windows software distribution and right click select"delete" windows will recreate a fresh folder at boot.

Cannot get my laptop to the screen to enter password

try booting into safe mode first F8, see what that gives you. if that fails load your original boot disk if you have vista os. load that disk and select repair to see if you have any issues. once your inside. i recommend using a command to repair any files that may be corrupt or changed. so once you get in go to start, select run and type cmd.exe once the black screen comes up type in sfc /scannow you will need to have the original os disk inside the drive. this command will go through and search any system files that have been changed. let me know if that helps or you need any other assistance

I have a canon pixma mp 530 . When the command is given to print and there is paper in the feed chamber the system energies but the paper no longer feeds,the alarm message lights and the message comes up...

your machine needs to be serviced as something like dust or any other object is blocking the gears in the paperfeeder tray to rotate frequently.
it will cost u near to $20 for geting it serviced.
