RCA universal Remote also I have found one that's called Onn. Works mine just fine

Actually George, You should read the supplied Operations manual. In that you will find a chapter for using the Remote as a Universal remote, and a list of codes will be give. Check out the code for Misubishi TVs and feed that.

SOURCE: Can't use VCR

There's nothing wrong with your VCR. Your remote probably set to control your TV. To fix that, simply press the VCR button on the remote, and you should be fine. The "T-U" really means "TV," but the designers at Panasonic wanted to use the standard seven-segment display to cut costs, hence "T-U" instead of "TV."

Describe your Panasonic PV-D4743 DVD Player / VCR Combo Problem I DO NOT HAVE REMOTE FOR THE DVD/VCR. WILL A UNIVERSAL REMOTE SOLVE THIS? I HAVE A SHARP TV WHICH ALSO LACKS A REMOTE.
Universal remote may give you few controls like power on-off, FF, REW etc but Menu may not open.

Panaasonic model pv-v4021 ~ the screen says clean heads. We do not have the manual. Does it take a wet or dry cleaning tape?
It will take either one, I suggest using the dry tape, it is much easier on the video head.

The problem with universal remotes is that unless you enter the correct code for that model not all functions will operate. You need to try every Panasonic code in the code book, untill you find one that works the guide function. Otherwise the only real solution is to get the original remote.

Panasonic VCR PV-4652
If the MFD (Multi Function Flourescent Display is not working, check the -27 - 30 Volt (minus 27V to minus 30V) supply line. The fuse or a fuse resistor (around .5ohms 1/8W ) will be blown.

Also, it is possible that the 3V AC heater supply line is disconnected at some point.
Check that also.
