When brewing coffee, hot chocolate or using any other tassimo disk the unit will leak water from the base of the machine. This is not the catch cup overflowing nor not seated incorrectly.
Return it, I called Tassimo & it's a problem.
It's most probably from the overflow which is situated behind the splashback. When the machine leaks from there it generally means that it needs to be descaled. You can use a general descaling agent powder. dissolve it into the water container filled to max, with the cleaning disc run a few cycles with 15 minute gaps between each cycle. after it should be fine.

I've had exactly the same problem for a while so I decided to descale it. No use, it still leaks, every time I use it. Very annoying.
Yep same problem & mine is less than 1 month old, so 'descaling' should not be the issue. The water that discharges from the bottom of the machine is warm/hot water, so I have ruled out the overflow tank as a key player in the scenario. It has to be leaking between the heating element and the output tube. Any suggestions?
I called Tassimo & explained the same issue, they told me I need to send it back for repair (they are sending a return box) or take it back to Macys where I bought it, since it's only 28 days old, they will swap it out for a new one w/ in 30 days. So it's obviously a problem.
It's burning the coffee and tasting so off, it's undrinkable. Moreover, Tassimo Direct tells us that since it's out of warranty, we should throw it out. But we'd like to repair it. Who can?
