We have a GE Profile bottom freezer refrigerator. We don't have a manual for it. The Reset Filter Indicator light is on on the water dispenser. We don't know where the filter is or how to reset it.
Help!!
Not sure if the model I picked was the correct one. Just know it's a bottom freezer french door with ice and water dispenser and it's very large.
Look for your model number from the sticker inside the fresh foods section of the refrigerator, usually on the liner near the door opening. Now, go to http://www.geappliances.com/service_and_support/literature/ to download a use and care manual for your model, as the reset procedure may vary by model. The filter is usually located at the very back right upper side of the fresh foods compartment, but again, it may vary by model.
Most models also have a filter indicator reset button located in the same area. After changing the filter, reset the filter status light by pressing the Filter Indicator Reset button or by pressing and holding the Filter button for 3 seconds. The status light will change from red to green or the status display will change from "Replace" to "Good" when the system is reset.
If your model has a water filter indicator, but no reset button, press the light switch in the refrigerator compartment 5 times within 10 seconds to reset the system. The status light will change from red to green when the system is reset.
