Check there is battery voltage at the fuel pump terminals , if ok replace the pump , if no voltage go to pump relay and check voltage if ok make sure relay is working then check wiring back to pump, if no voltage at relay trace wire back to fuse. Note there will be voltage at the pump only for a short time before the ECU shuts it down if the engine does not start.

Probably a bad fuel pump. Verify power and ground arriving at the pump during cranking.

Fuel filter (faceing Engine) is on the Left of the firewall below the black box with vac. lines going to it There is a bolt 10mm head at that box which will allow you to flip box without disconnecting vac.lines. Good Luck

SOURCE: i have a 91 honda accord lx starts fine runs good

It may be the O2 sensor. I know it's not the fuel filter, spark plugs, spark plug wires, Vehicle Speed Sensor, Dis. cap, or TCM.

1986 (11/85) z24 model 720 Pickup. Vehicle has only 75K, which means it sits for weeks between usage. Terrible bucking and stalling, usually under heavy load (steep mountain roads). Sometimes can run...

Try running a good fuel system cleaner through it. Sitting alot allows condensation to form in fuel tank. Also condensation forms on plugs, etc... Pill plugs and inspect, but do run system cleaner regularly.

Poor fuel mileage. the car only has 119000 miles on it so it sit idle for a long time. i should be getting low 40's but on a trip only 33.5.

A few things you can do to help improve your fuel mileage is keep your tires properly inflated, change your air filter regularly, and maintain your engine with oil changes and tuneups per factory recommendations/specifications. A couple of other things that you can also do is add an octane booster or injection cleaner additive to your fuel occasionally to ensure injector cleanliness. It's also a good idea to run a hotter spark plug such as NGK spark plug with multiple points of ignition such as a split fire or something of that nature. Hope this helps, good luck!

Will start up run for awhile then stall and wont restart

Hello, I would start with a general tune up. Spark plugs and wires, Fuel Filter, Oil Change and Filter Change, Air Filter Change, Some injector cleaner would not hurt eirther. Be sure to lubricate your high mileage car and also use a farily good oil for your motor as well. The run for awhile problem sounds like bad spark plugs. I would change your spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, and rotarty button.

Restoring an 85 Honda accord

I have experienced problems w/ cars that have sat unused for some time, Here's what to expect: The gas can be a major problem. Gas can go bad after several months, although I have had vehicles sit for a year, and they started and ran fine, hopefully you will have the same luck that I did. If it goes bad, it gets gummy, and clogs up the carb or injectors. Next thing to consider is the brake system. Fluid should probably be flushed throughout the entire system. It's common for brakes to 'drag' after sitting for long periods, especially if brake fluid hasn't been changed in a long time. You may find that brake calipers or brake cylinders are seized up and need to be replaced/rebuilt. Other than that, change the oil and filter, also the air filter, (check for mouse nests in the air filter ) and once it's up and running, change trans fluid (is it auto or stick?). 60k, WOW, what a car! Good luck! Curt
