Carb problems. Sounds like the choke is not working.

Have you tried to clean the fuel injectors ( 1 Pont cleaner to 10 gallons gas)?

look in the fuse block under the hood or if it's having a problem starting look for the fuse in the fuse block under the hood or in the fuse block under the dash

It is referred to as the main relay as it has another function. It is under the hood mounted to the firewall by a single screw see photo

Flywheels are typically attached to the end of the engine crankshaft by 4 or more bolts, so having the crankshaft come loose is approaching a SEVERE AND DANGEROUS FAILURE. This will require dismantling to the extent that the flywheel (if not too badly damaged) can be re-bolted and torqued in place WITH NEW BOLTS of the correct grade.

I guess on the Carb, at the idle port, its a solenoid I suspect.

You have a single fuel injector in it right. Try right at the end of the gas pedal cable at the engine there is an electrical plug and a little device that goes around in a circle when the gas is mashed. That is the throttle position sensor. Try unplugging that and if there is no difference in the revving then the throttle position sensor is out. If that is not the problem, then plug your engine into a an onboard diagnostic reader. 85 is an obd1.

When was the last time it had a tune up? Sounds like the carb needs rebuilding.

I had the same problem with mine! I spent what seemed like hours trying to figure it out. I finally gave up and just said, while I'm here I'll just do all my preventative maintenance checks and give up for now. I noticed while checking the radiator that the antifreeze was low so I added a little less than a couple of quarts, closed the hood, started it to move it back to the driveway and guess what? It fixed itself! I guess it was just low enough on fluid it was telling itself, "I need to warm up." Hey, maybe you'll get lucky and the same simple thing might be the problem. Also their is a (usually vac. controlled) switch located on the throttle linkage that allows your engine to de-accelerate "softer" instead of just dropping all at once when you let off the gas. I have seen these switches with age or dirt and grime, stick in a position that the throttle wont fall all the way down. A couple of things to check that my be a simple fix. Hope all works out for you!

check the brake system for any leaks. check the master cylinder for leaking out the rear of it. if you take the master cylinder nuts of that hold it to the power brake booster and slide the master off the booster and look at the rear of the master to check for a fluid leak or dampness. if you see this replace the master cylinder. also sometimes the power booster will suck the fluid were its drawn into the engine and burnt and the smoke will look white. another thing that causes white smoke is a bad head gasket as the coolant is sucked into the combustion chamber and burnt, it can also leak externally and cause the dripping you see.

Check your parking brake switch.Had the same prob.The switch was stuck closed.Or check your brakes fluid level.

check fuses ? if ok check for power at rear lights if no power trace wiring loom back from light clusters and make sure the earth wire is making a good contact to body ,if that appears ok check power out from light switch if ok check for lighting relay in fuse box
