Amp power my samson S1500 will not power up. i've checked all of the fuses that i can see with the top cover off, and they are fine and the circut breaker is not tripped. im stuck

Some wiring is burnt..ull need to investigate. Causing an overload circuit. Checkout utube or pinterest. Use caution highvolts

Take the cover off end check for a blowin fuse.

Turn the volume down? Feed it cleaner source material?

You don't say under what conditions you're blowing them or if any of the informative indicators are warning you of impending doom. The Samson is capable of cooking just about any home speaker.

The following conditions will cause the Protection LED to go on:

• Initial power-up: For approximately five seconds after initial power-up, the

protection circuitry is activated and the speaker output is muted. If everything is

operating normally, you will hear an audible click at the conclusion of this brief

period, as the protection circuitry is deactivated and the S1500 / S2000 begins

delivering signal to connected speakers (at which point you'll hear a click). It is

normal for the Protection LED to fade gradually after the amplifier is powered off.

• Overheating: A temperature sensing device in the S1500 / S2000 will cause

the protection circuitry to be activated (and the Protection LED to go on)

whenever the operating temperature of the unit rises above a safe level. To

guard against this problem, make sure the S1500 / S2000 receives adequate

ventilation on all sides and that both the front and rear panels are unobstructed.

• Severe overcurrent conditions: This occurs whenever the signal being input to

the S1500 / S2000 rises to a level above 20% THD (Total Harmonic Distortion).

• Shorted speaker cables: This will occur if, due to faulty wiring, the hot and

ground signals being output by the S1500 / S2000 short one another.

• Output impedance drops below 2 ohms: This can occur if the S1500 / S2000

is connected to inappropriate speaker systems (see the "Setting Up and Using

Your S1500 / S2000" section on page 5 in this manual for more information).

• DC voltage detected at speaker output: The most likely cause of this is an

internal failure.

In general, any time the Protection LED lights up (other than during the

approximately five seconds following initial power-up), there is reason to be

concerned. If this occurs, turn the S1500 / S2000 off immediately and carefully

check all wiring and external devices in order to locate and correct the condition

that caused the LED to light up in the first place.

If you are talking about the fuse on the circut board, it tells you the size on the black cover, covering the circut board. I think it's a 1 amp and 3 amp glass fuse.

The manual recommends 4 Amp Slow blow for 115 volt operation or 2 Amp Slow blow for 230 Volt operation for the 201a.

For the 260 Amp manual shows 10 Amp normal for 115 volt operation and 5 Amp nomal for 230 volt operation.

You can test fuses without removing them by using a test light and probing the small openings in the top of each one at each end with a test light. it takes about ten minutes to test all of them so any one that does not have power on both ends is bad and needs to be replaced. Lighter will be at least a 25 amp fuse or sometimes runs off a circut breaker. (little metal covered fuses usually at the top of fuse box) Breakers need to be tested with a continuity tester or can be powered on one spade and checked with a test light touched to other spade.(when removed)

hello, definitely if your fuses are blown and your not able to circut trace and find the fualty compnents on the pb then repalce it with a working power supply this may help but also keep in mind you may want to check everything out first get your models service manual so you can verify voltages at test points. something is cuasing the fuses to blow so if you do change the power board and you blow the fuses again then you will need to trace the circut and find out where the short is and what panel or part is cuasing it .

if one amp powers up and the other one doesn't in the same car,it tells u its not the wire, both amps seem to be damage and will require repair.if your having problems with amps u are over demanding the amp for power. try higher ohm speaker configuration for less amp break downs
