Battery is bad, or the Power MOSFET's in the DC - DC circuit on the motherboard; are bad...........

Using the HP Pavilion dv6000, and HP Pavilion 9000 series of Notebook PC's; as an example,

http://mayohardware.blogspot.com/2010/04/important-parts-on-dv6000-and-dv9000.html

Alpha & Omega Semiconductor LTD - AO4407 - Power MOSFET,

http://www.mouser.com/Search/Refine.aspx?Keyword=ao4407

The AO4407 is Obsolete.
Using one of the cross-reference examples shown,

http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Diodes-Inc/DMP3020LSS-13/?qs=%2fha2pyFadugQJEAqJYuwC0NlHVHA8ivkIi5yij9Xhac5DoEAek3FbA%3d%3d

http://www.mouser.com/Search/Refine.aspx?Keyword=fds6679

The Fairchild Semiconductor Industries - FDS6679 - Power MOSFET, is also Obsolete.
Using one of the cross-reference examples shown,

http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Fairchild-Semiconductor/FDS6679AZ/?qs=sGAEpiMZZMshyDBzk1%2fWi1qxDdW%2fXBi2qgMuZEfLVO4%3d

Where are these power MOSFETS located on the motherboard, for the HP G42 series of Notebook PC's?
In the DC to DC circuit on the motherboard.

Where is that?
Where the DC Power Harness plugs into the motherboard,

http://www.ebay.com/itm/HP-CQ42-DC-POWER-JACK-CABLE-DD0AX6PB00-/150980034385?pt=UK_Computing_LaptopAccessories_PowerSupplies&hash=item23271c7f51

[ The jack on the laptop that you plug the AC adapter into, {Charger}, is the DC Power Jack.

When the DC Power Jack is connected to wires, or a cable; it is then known as a DC Power Harness.
Some refer to it as the DC Power Cable ]

Let's look at an example of a motherboard, as used in the HP G42 series of Notebook PC's,
http://www.ebay.com/itm/HP-COMPAQ-G42-G62-CQ42-CQ56-CQ62-CQ64-Intel-478-LAPTOP-MOTHERBOARD-605140-001-/350675071935?pt=Motherboards&hash=item51a5dcf3bf
The large main photo that automatically comes up, is a TOP view of the motherboard. To the far Right is where the DC Power Harness plugs in.

You can set your mouse cursor in the middle of the photo, and this activates the Zoom In feature.

How do I know? I'm looking at the Service Manual right now,
HP Support > HP G42-415DX Notebook PC > Main Support page,

2007 HHR rear hatch will not unlock

Do you know how to test automotive electrical circuits ? Viewing wiring diagrams an using a DMM - digital multi-meter . Looking at a wiring diagram I see a relay ,L/GATE RELSE relay - # 18 underhood fuse box . It's controlled by the BCM - body contol module . The liftgate release switch is a input to the BCM . Free wiring diagrams here http://www.bbbind.com/free-tsb Enter vehicle info. year , make , model an engine size. Under system click on body & accessories ,then under subsystem click on tailgate release . Click the search button then the first blue link.

Pressing the Liftgate Release Switch closes a contact providing a ground for the Liftgate Release Switch Signal circuit. The BCM will detect the voltage drop and command voltage to be supplied to the Liftgate Release Relay Control circuit thus energizing the LIFTGATE RELEASE Relay which provides voltage to the Release Actuator releasing the liftgate.

Do you know what a DTC - diagnostic trouble code is ?
DTC B3265 01: Hatch Release Output Circuit Short to Battery
DTC B3265 06: Hatch Release Output Circuit Short to Ground or Open

B3265 01
This DTC will set when the BCM detects a short to battery in the liftgate release relay control circuit.
B3265 06
This DTC will set when the BCM detects an open or short to ground in the liftgate release relay control circuit.

Do you have an know how to use a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter ,how to read a wiring diagram ? http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html free wiring diagrams . Watch a few videos on yourtube for basic automotive electrical testing , Look at electrical distribution wiring diagram , start at the battery , check battery voltage , check at power distribution box Fuse's . Can you do that ? Honda ELD Is the B+ voltage at the I/P fuse box . Check B+ voltage at the ignition switch . Only U can find the problem by electrical testing , we would only be guessing .

Engine Wiring diagram for 85 Chrysler fifth ave. I think there is a bad connection somewhere, it won't crank it just clicks once when you turn the key

It sounds like a battery cable issue. Check both ends of both cables and assure that they're not corroded, damaged, or loose. The connections within the battery can do this too so if the cables check out have the battery load tested. The new electronic testers most places use may not detect this fault, check it with a real load tester.

System battery voltage low/chipset heat sink not detected, and where is this battery located along with the heatsink?

The battery is on the motherboard and looks like a watch battery...about the size of a nickel. The heat sink is the metal device underneath the fan on your CPU. See Pics Below...
Make sure your heatsink and fan are firmly connected to the motherboard.

SD Card Recognition

Perform the following procedures when your digital camera does not detect the SD card. 1. Restart the camera Turn the main power OFF, or open the battery cover or SD card/battery cover to remove the battery. Make sure the SD card is fully installed. Then, turn the main power ON, or insert a battery again and close the battery cover or SD card/battery cover until it latches. 2. Initialize the SD card Format the SD card with your camera. Formatting procedures varies depending on the camera model. See the Camera User Guide supplied with your camera for the instruction to format the SD card. When formatting the SD card, slide its tab upward to cancel write protection. It is impossible to format the SD card while it is write protected. 3. Check if your camera detects other SD cards (If you own multiple SD cards.) If your camera does not detect the SD card after performing the procedures 1 and 2, check if the camera detects other SD cards. If it does detect other SD cards, the SD card that wasn't detected may contain some problem.
