F61 error message panasonic sa ak410

try cleaning out the fan and make sure it spins freely. If the unit detects that the fan isn't spinning it will shut off.

Sa-pm31 display panel is blank

I have the same stereo with the same bad display. The fan has never turned on to cool the amplifier and power supply. At full volume this stereo is hot and the fan does not turn on. I an guessing the heat has fried the display.

Replacing the fan and display would fix this. George "green bay"

When turning on F61 shows on the display and will not turn on

People say that it is a fan problem - when it gets stuck with dust or does not work properly the system recognizes it and gets blocked in order to prevent overheating of the components. I changed the fan but the problem with F61 presists despite people say that changing the fan would solve the problem.

Panasonic SC-HT995 locked

check the fan, if its dusty clean it then run the player. If it works, your in luck. If the fans are moving and f61 still shows up, the D-amp IC is shortened ( inside you will see IC 5000/IC5200 / IC 5300, these needs to be replaced) its the one by the big cooling fins (behind the rear fan)

DISPLAY STARTS OK THEN F61 APPEARS THEN STEREO SWITCHES OFF

Probaby needs the output ic. F61 is an output/power error code. But check that the fans turn before trying to replace or taking it in to be fixed. If a fan is not turning you will get F61 too.
