Kd-r400 can't recognize usb

You might have to reset the logic by disconnecting the power to the unit. Remove the fuse temporarily, or both fuses if it has 2.

Music has become more mobile than ever before, as numerous devices can store and play music on-the-go. Companies have developed car audio decks that incorporate USB ports in the faceplate. This allows flash drives to be plugged into the deck, and music on the drive to be played. Flash drive format issues are minimal, considering nearly all flash drives are formatted in the FAT32 file system by default. FAT32 is readable by any operating system, or stereo deck with a USB por

Determine if the stereo deck in the vehicle is capable of playing music off a USB flash drive. Read the stereo deck user's manual, or inspect the deck faceplate for a USB port. Plug a USB flash drive into an available USB port on a computer. Check the drive to make sure there is enough available space for music files. Using Windows, double-click the desktop icon labeled "My Computer." Right-click the flash drive icon, and select "Properties." Capacity will be shown. Using Mac, click the flash drive icon once it appears on the desktop. Click "File" in the top menu bar, then click "Get Info." A dialog box appears, and capacity is listed. Drag and drop any desired music files onto the flash drive. Be sure the files are in .mp3 format. Although some stereo decks are capable of playing other music types, the .mp3 extension is universal and all decks will play it. Spend a short amount of time organizing the files into folders. Organize by genre, artist, or create mixed playlists. Selecting music while driving will become much less distracting. Close the drive window, and safely eject the flash drive from the computer. Plug the flash drive into the stereo deck of the vehicle. Select the USB port as the music source, via the stereo deck. Read the manufacturer's user manual if unsure of how to change the source. Adjust the volume, listen, and enjoy. Hope this helps.

My cd player resets everytime i turn my car off and i have to reset the settings. I have the antenna wire connected. What else could be the problem?

First off, where do you have the antenna wire connected to? It sounds like you have the yellow wire connected to a 12v source that turns off when you turn the key off. The yellow wire needs to go to a source that still has 12v when you turn the ignition key off. The yellow wire controls the memory of the deck.

HI. I RECENTLY got a hp proLIANT ML 330 G3 server. It did not come with any OS.. IT had only cd drive.. so i burned SERVER 2003 IN usb and i want to server to boot from usb.. when even i switched it on it...

Hello,

I am sorry to advise you I have had the exact same issue with a ML330 G3, and it doesnt support USB boot , There are 2 work arounds, 1 is to burn 2003 to a CD as opposed to a DVD and then boot from the standard drive, the other option is to swap out the internal IDE CD Drive to a IDE DVD drive, these are pretty cheap to purchase and easy to fit, the key to fitting is that the ribbon that fits in the back of the drive has a stripe down one side, The side with the Stripe always plugs in nearest to the Power plug that you also plug into the drive.

If this helps, please can you provide positive feedback

Can i on usb of this radio a portebel 1T hd working? a usb stick wil work but a hd not is there a solution? gr ray

Unfortunately not, First, Most Many Decks don't offer a powered USB port. Because the Portable HD has Moving Parts It can't start up without a power source. Also Many HD require specifi Drivers in ordered to be Functional, which the Deck most likely does not have installed on it... and unfortunately I don't brelieve there is a way to do intall them. One Solution you could try is to buy a external drive that has a seperate power source from than the usb and then try plugging it into an inverter and connecting it to the deck via the usb. I can't garuntee it'll and i believe you may just be better off purchasing a large capacity flash drive. Hope this helped

Starting today my drive is being read as a cd-rom only, i cant burn a dvd. wont even read a disk (i have cleaned the lens).

This in indicative of a dying drive.

I have no idea why but external drives do seem more prone to it.

Additionally if you have recently added any new burning software you may want to un-install it as I have seen that too fix similar issues.

May I suggest you connect it to a different computer first to eliminate your own computer as a suspect.

Make sure you use the leads that came with the drive and not one that just happens to fit as some leads are not always compatible even though they may look the same.

If it is still under warranty you may want to investigate that option.

Hope this gives you enough to get you sorted out as to what to do next.

Dell Latitude C510/c610 Can this notebook book from the USB Port? I want to install Fedora Linux on my newly repartitioned HD but I can't read the DVD (don't have DVD drive available).

When you want to boot to the USB hard drive just have the drive installed, reboot the system, select the appropriate function key to go to boot options (should tell you what to press in the beginning of boot up) and select USB hard disk.

An important thing to note: Most Linux distributions won't boot from a USB hard drive or thumb drive without a special program for unpacking it to the USB Hard disk. Check with the distribution website for special instructions.

Good Luck,

Dvd drive will read/play dvds but will not recognize a cd

go to safemode and try reading CDs in safemode. If your burner still can't read CDs then it's most likely bad. You could get an external usb burner.
