I just changed the controller for one of my dual elements on my Frigidaire Stove. After I got everything put back together. I turned on the Breaker...All of the elements on my stove top worked perfectly. Then I set the clock which was flashing as if there had been a power failure...Once I set the clock successfully I turned on the oven..It seemed to turn on, then about 15 to 30 seconds later starting beeping and flash F20 err on the display...I could hit and clear and stop it, but everytime I hit bake, I get the error code F20....I need help, is there a reset button somewhere, or could I have screwed something else up when I changed the controller for the element.
SOURCE: Stove won't heat
Oven was working, I had it on pre-heat, then I turned on the stove top, but the burners won't heat. When I turn on the stove top the stove makes a short BUZZ noise and the clock area lights up, when the burner is turned off all the lights go out. Please help, food prepared.
Thank You

Richard, sounds like you did all the pretests. You'll need a new display panel. When you work on it, be sure to cut the power.

the broiler came on automatically??? not a sensor issue. sounds as if you have a broken wire perhaps, or a faulty control panel energizing the broil element w/o being prompted to. does it say its broiling when element comes on??

Hi ,
This is the code for a communication failure between EOC (ELECTRONIC OVEN CONTROL) & ESEC system
1. Test harness/connections P4 (EOC) & P11 (Surface Element Control Board)
2. If harness checks O.K. failure can be caused by faulty UIB, Surface Element Control Board or EOC.
Check on the back of the stove there should be an envelope attached to it that has service paperwork in it with diagrams
It will most likely need a new oven control very easy to replace just remember to remove the power to the unit before you work on it.
Please contact me if you have any more questions.

Hi,
That sounds like the relays in the oven control board have gone bad...

Hi
F3-E2 Error indicates
a loose/broken wire on the oven temp sensor or the oven temp. sensor itself is
bad and should be replaced. To solve this issue test the oven temp. sensor, it
should read between 1080-1120 ohms, if the rating is more then that and the door
appears to be closing fine then it is the control board that is bad and should
be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

My issue is actually with the Frigidaire PLES389ECC model, not the 399...for some reason it wouldn't let me post with this model.
