This is the most common problem for rear projection tvs and it is known
as the color convergence problem. You will need to replace or repair its
ics to solve it.
Lamps only last for 5,000 hrs -8,000 Playing hrs
It means every hour you Play TV Lamp burns up the hours, so after 5,000hrs on most Lamp needs replacing, some Lamps dont even last this long DLPs are not like Projection you can play them 24-7 and Tubes will remain good, But Lamps are like a light bulb they all burn out after so many hours.
Best thing is to turn TV off if you are not watching it, in order to Save Hours burt on Lamp.
Mats has Lamps for $99.00 1-800-628-1118
Replace the Lamp.
Sounds like your convergence modules have gone bad. They have 21 close spaced pins to unsolder and resolder. You'll need a soldering iron with a fine point tip and thin gauge solder to do the repairs yourself. Solder bridges between pins are common when soldering these module pins, so have some unsoldering wick handy if you're going to fix it yourself. I have a 3 yr old 55 inch mitsubishi TV and when I turn it on the green light starts flashing and I must reset the TV about four times before it finally comes on has anyone had this problem if so what solution did you have?
The TV's front panel may be bad, manual buttons. TEMPT FIX; remove speaker, cloth covered, cover, disconnect cables. TV will work but only with remote.
I have the same problem. The only way to get the TV to come on is to unplug it, but once you get it back on it turns itself off again in a few minutes.
