Whirlpool Estate Dryer barely heating

I have a whirlpool Estate dryer model # TEDX64OPQ0. We recently moved and had to change from the 3 prong plug in to 4 prong. The dryer worked fine the day were moved because I was using it. When we hooked up the new cord it will now barely heat and the timer wont ever go off unless you manually turn it off. I thought heating element but doesnt that typically mean no heat?

Four wires on the new cord.
Red and Black go to outside screws on the terminal.
White goes to the middle terminal.
Green goes to the cabinet ground screw near the terminal plate cover.

Dryer not heating and timer dosen't move

A dryer runs 2 halfs (one half 120, the other 120). Sounds like you are missing the 120 that operates those two. Did you change from a four prong to a three prong?

no,you need to connect the green wire to any metallic part of the dryer, even if the white wire on the neutral terminal has a bonding strap from this terminal to the metallic dryer case as you should never connect more than one wire under any type of terminal unless otherwise specified by the manufacturer

Wall plug is 3 prong, dryer is 4 prong...is there an adaptor available?

The following link explains the wiring scheme for 3 and 4 prong power cords. I know the instructions are for converting from a 3 to a 4 prong, but if you look under the "Additional Notes" section it explains how to convert back to a 3-prong if you are currently using a 4-prong.
