I have just installed two new ink cartridges and did a deep cleaning. I cannot do a calibrate as when I put the page on the scanner it says "page not detected". I lined the page up with the arrow. I did a diagnostic sheet and it quotes 5 errors - 3610, 3610, 3501, 3507 and 3511. What do these codes mean? My printer is a Kodak Easy Share 5300 All-in-One Printer.

Wait until the printhead is idle and silent, then pinch the latch on the color ink cartridge with your thumb and forefinger and lift it out of the printhead.

Try this to unclog printhead.
take out cartridge, locate the hole where ink goes trough, put a can of compressed air and blow it.
put some paper under the printhead to catch ink.
Are you using OEM cartridges or aftermarket/reloaded cartridges. Your problem sounds like the nozzles are clogged and need to be deep cleaned. To perform this you need to put in new OEM cartridges and run the deep cleaning (at least 3x) and the alignment utility. This should clear the clogged nozzles. Aftermarket/refilled cartridges do not always meet the manufacturer's specifications for quality. If you want to try a good source for aftermarket cartridges, try cartridges from LDproducts.com for your printer. I've never had a problem with their aftermarket cartridges. Please rate this solution. Thanks.
Try this one, Turn on the printer, Take out the inks, remove the printhead, put back the printhead make sure it will snap and you hear a click, put the inks back, wait for the printer to initialize, Press the Menu button, look for Calibrate printer, then print calibration page, then scan it after. Load a regular paper. Then try to print a demo page by pressing Photo and Copy at the same for 5 seconds then let it go. If same problem persist call this no for further assistance 1800 421 6699 Thanks
When you place the calibration sheet on the scanner glass, make sure you put it with the blue arrow facing the yellow triangle on the scanner. (the page must be, obviously, facing down).
As with the red color issue goes, try replacing the color ink cartridge. If that does not work, contact kodak support to fix the problem (you can go to kodak.com/go/itg for troubleshooting steps)
yeah it sounds like a cartridge sensors are stuck or broken. i would say to replace the whole print unit. It will need a service support dealer to fit this part unless you can buy it and fir it yourself.
hi, it is possible that the black cart was not installed properly. Try reseating the black cart and see if it works. You can also try to calibrate the printer. you can do this by pressing the menu button then go down to calibrate printer. after that it would also help to perform a deep clean which can also be found on that same menu. then try to print. If all these fails, try to call the kodak hotline 800.421.6699
Here are the things you will be asked to try if you call support. They may fix the problems as well. Taking the printhead out and putting it back in is the big helper.
Remove the black and color ink cartridges. Right above where the black ink cartridge was, in the top left hand corner of the printhead, push up towards the ceiling and you should be able to push a button that releases the printhead. Place the printhead right back into the printer and push straight back on the back wall. You should hear a loud snap. Replace the ink cartridges which should snap as well. Close the printer. After about a minute or so the printer will ask you to do a calibration. Insert a paper and press start. Scan the calibration sheet. After that, in the menu, do a printhead clean. (If this is a 5100, do it in the home center ->? in the top right ->Maintainence ->Clean Printhead.) Do one basic and one deep. Print a demo sheet to see if anything has changed. If the picture looks better, continue to do cleans. In the event that it does not, the printhead will need to be replaced and since the printer is still under warranty, Kodak specialists will try to overnight you a printhead. The whole process is short and free. The number for Kodak AiO Support is 1 800 421 6699.
