I'm getting an error 7 on setting up my Bose T20 system?

Thats a toughie because that system is well..a system. They build those so that each component runs through that main circuit board there and then thru the outs on the sub--I would look for a used player that you can hook it up to or pass on it.

You have rename the device itself, throught the settings on the actual device.

Go to the system panel, there choose "sound" . a list with all available sound devices appear. search for your bose soundlink and make it your "standard device".
had the same prob. with my BT headset and this works for me.

if your bose get disconnected the sound should automatically switch to pc speakers.

as there is No AC Adapter on the bose you\'ll need to check the YAMAHA for a powered output here is the manual the the YAMAHA

The laser pickup unit [Optical Pickup Unit] is faulty. Bose uses a special type. You can't get it from open electronic spare part market. It is best to get this set repaired by the authorised service center for bose at your town.

there is "headphone" socket in your laptop & there is "audio input" in your tv, u need to connect both to get sound. u need a connector which has stereo jack pin at one end & 2 RCA pins at other end. please find out these sockets on laptop & tv & then buy the connector.

This is because you haven't connected audio related wires from laptop to T20. HDMI only carries video and not audio. There are many cables (sealed) which you can buy from electronic stores. You can connect one end of the cable to audio out of Laptop and audio in of T20.

This solution will work definitely.

run HDMI of 3D player to TV and optical out from 3D player to Bose system. Your Bose System does not have HDMI 1.4 (3D) pass through; this is your problem.

Sounds like you've had a surge through your sockets and blown the power supply.
