Chrysler town&country after overheating getting p1491 code how to resolve it ?

Start your diagnosis at the fan relay module which is located below the battery box on the left frame rail. The Grey wire is hot at all times and fused by fuse #24 in the power distribution center. The Black wire is the ground. The Light Green/Dark Blue wire goes to the Powertrain Control Module which provides ground to the fan relay when cooling fan operation is needed. The Dark Green wire provides switched power to the fan motors.
Using a digital test meter, check for 12 volts on the Grey wire. Check for good ground at the Black wire. If you have good results with those two tests, ground the Light Green/Dark Blue wire at the relay. The fans should start up and run at high speed. Now is a good time to check the current draw on the fans-they should not draw more than 15 amps. If the fans do not run, check the operation of the fan motors by jumpering the Grey wire to the Dark Green wire. If the fans work, the relay is bad.
When replacing the relay, always clean the mounting surface and apply new thermo grease.
To check operation of the PCM, disconnect the connector to the engine coolant temperature sensor and check the Light Green/Dark Blue wire to see if the PCM is switching the ground to the relay. If it does not, check that wire at the PCM connector. If it switches there, you have an open between the PCM and the relay.
Common problems with this vehicle: Poor ground at for the relay, bad relay, bad ground for the engine coolant temp sensor.

Car cranks but wont start? No spark. Changed ecm relay no help. Ignition harness is good. No fault codes. Battery is good. changed ignition relay, no help. I think its the ECM but need more info to spend...

Yes, the ECM is the last thing to replace after all other possibilities. No spark could be bad ignition coil, bad Ignition Control Module (controls the coil circuits for spark), bad plug wires, the crank and cam sensors (for ECM to determine spark timing).

Check the ICM -it can be tested at a parts store. If good, check the crank sensor.

I have 2000 Dodge Stratus. Every time I try to start the car. Its not making any noise. My boyfriend checked it and he thinks its electrical problems. But he checked the starter motor last night by taking...

Checking the starter separate was a good step. Now that you know it works, start backwards. You'll need a test light for this. Connect the alligator clip to ground and check to see if you have power at the smaller wire that goes to the starter. If you have no power (light doesn't turn on), check to see where your starter relay is located and swap it with one you know works like the horn. If it starts, you have a bad relay. If it doesn't start, you may have a bad ignition switch. Hope this helps. Good luck.

No power to the fuel pump

First thing is first, check that all of your fuses are good. There should be a fuse block under the hood, if you get power while crabking the motor over your fuel pump relay may be bad. The relay should also be located in the fuse block. If you have a good relay and power on both sides your oil pressure sensor may also be bad, but you will need a volt/ohm meter to actually diagnose the problem. Good luck, fuses and relay are simple/ cheap/ and easy

2001 Suzuki gsxr 1000 motorcycle no head lights!!checked fueses and relays cleans light switch, relay good bulbs good all wires are in good shape and connected fuses good.all lights on guages except hi beam...

You either have a broken wire or the switch is bad or you have a bad ground, You need to get a DVOM and go back over everything. again because you're not getting power to the light from the switch or a bad ground.

The driver side window will not go up or down on a 1999 honda passport.is there a way to manuelly make them go up.is there a quick way to check the relays?thanks

There is not way to manually raise the window. First check the fuse. If the fuse is good then remove the door switch and see if the switch itself is bad. If it is good then the relay is bad or the motor is bad. Check the relay by replacing it with a known good one.

The horn isnt working all the fuses are good and in the right place

check your horn relay under the hood in fuse/relay box to check it have someone to press down on horn switch with the key on/at the same time you put your finger on top of relay and if you do not feel a clicking noise then relay is bad. if relay is good then the horn is bad. hope this will help you!!!

Why wont the wipers work on our dodge ram 1500 and it is a 1995 the assembley is good we checked that the part we checked is the part from the sterring colum

you need to check the wiper motor relay too and iuf it checks out then using a test light probe the hot wire to the wiper motor and see if it is hot and lights up while the ignition is on and the wiper switch is activated. if you get a light then you have a bad motor, if not and the relay tested good then you have a bad switch. if the switch checks out and the relay checks out but still no power at the motor with a test light then you have to trace back the power wire ti find the bad spot.
