I'm looking for A Windows XP Ethernet Controller driver that's compatible with the Dell Studio XPS 435 MT.

if you don't have the cd with the drivers and utilities, then you can download the drivers online with another computer. (you will need a thumb drive or cd to save it on) you will also need to make sure you know what brand of ethernet card your computer came with. once you get that ethernet card working, you can get online and download the remaining drivers, possibly through windows update. be sure to select custom update, not express, so it will search for the hardware drivers for you.

Hi stefyboy - Below is a link where you can download your driver. After you get to the page just make sure it says Windows XP as the operating system. Then scroll down and click on the + next to where it says network. You want the intel 10/100 driver. I've included a few a ways to install it. If your kinda new to this the easiest is the download to desktop method and just remember where it unzipped it to, you can always move it to a driver directory where you can keep all your drivers for the future.

If this solves your problem PLEASE rate this as fixed. If not, DO NOT RATE YET. Just add a comment letting me know what happened and I'll be glad to assist you further. Thanks.

SOURCE: no ethernet controller in device manager
You need to flash the cmos.. To do this open it up and look for a switch inside the system., press for 5 seconds and release.
If you cant find the switch or there isnt one, then locate the battery on the board (its a big watch battery) pry it off, hold the power button down for 1 minute, the press it 5 times, replace the battery.
NB: UNPLUG THE SYSTEM BEFORE ATTEMPTING THE ABOVE. Once this is done follow the onscreen instructions to enter the bios or setup, load optimised defaults then save and exit. Your device will now show up in the device manager.
