SOURCE: unable to send emails, but can receive emails

I solved this by changing the Outgoing Mail Server settings. Open Mail client, select Tools>Account>Properties then select the Server tab. Check Server Requires Authentication and under settings click Log on using and enter your user name and password in the boxes provided, the boxes were already filled out but you may have to enter your information.

Hope This Helps

SOURCE: cannot forward an email received by me to a friend

Rather than forward the email, cut the contents and paste it into a new email.
Hotmail might be rejecting it because what you are forwarding may contain a virus. Don't forward any attachments with out scanning them for viruses, plus make sure you are sending to an exisitng hotmail account. You may have typo-ed the email address.
Where did this email originate, is it something that has a bazzillion previous forwarding addresses? Good chance it is infected.

My daughter tried to open her yahoo.com.au email but got a message saying 'this id is not yet taken' and asking her to open a new account. She tried to register for a new account but then got a message...

at the first place.her id is reconcile in yahoo data base.so she should create an account with yahoo first. she just have to use another name to register, because someone has used that name. so please select from the options you be given. and continue with the registration

Message in my inbox

I have a similar problem and was unable to get into the inbox or sent items. You can get access to your mail by following the link below.

http://uk.m.yahoo.com/p/mail

This is the second time Yahoo Mail has gone haywire since October 2008 and they really ought to get their act together.

You may have problems replying from the above link though. I would recommend you try another email address to reply, that is if the reply is important.

Good luck.

Want yahoo mail sent to my MSN mail inbox

I guess what you mean is how you can import your messages to MSN mail box. You can only import or export your contacts vice versa.

The easy way although quite tedious is to go to your inbox and forward the messages to your email address in your MSN mail.

e.g open your inbox ....... click the message and open it.
click the forward button and type in your MSN email address and click send.

Another quicker way although not tested is to convert your yahoo email to the yahoo classis email. it has better features to forward many messages simultaenously

Cannot get email

This is a very common problem. Upgrading you iphone firmware if it's not current may solve this problem. Or try changing your address for the account from [email protected]" to your yahoo id without the "@yahoo.com"

Otherwise the built-in yahoo option for iphone can be buggy:
  1. Delete the Yahoo account on your iphone
  2. Create anew account via Other option
  3. Fill in the usual user id and password fields
  4. Under IMAP tab set Host Name under Incoming Mail Server to imap.apple.mail.yahoo.com
  5. Under Outgoing Mail Server, in Host Name field set it to cwmx.com
If you have a very large yahoo inbox, you may have to do the following:

1. Go to your yahoo account in a regular browser on your computer. Makesure you're using the new version of Yahoo mail (the one that looks andfeels like outlook).

2. Create a new folder. I called mine "archive - inbox".

3. Select ALL emails in your inbox so that your inbox folder will becompletely empty once you move them (there's a box you can check whichwill select everything). I had over 5,000 emails in my inbox, so thiswould have taken ages using the Classic version of Yahoo mail.

4. Move all emails to your newly created archive folder. Go back intothe archive folder and select any unread/new emails and move them backto your inbox.

5. Go into Yahoo on your iphone and refresh the mail. This will clearout the old emails and download the most recent emails from your inbox.
