Leaks water out overnight

It seems to leak more when left overnight with water, but it also leaks when we make coffee during the day.

I bet it leaks from the back, right? If it does, it has the same problem as my dad's.
You have a leak in the back of the holding tank. Fill it up, turn it around, without plugging it in, and watch for the water leak. If it's in a spot that you can see, then use some caulking to seal the leak. That should work. If not, it is leaking out from inside the plastic holding tank. Not much you can do but buy a new one.

where can you get a new water tank?

  • Landrew Hammer Jan 20, 2013

Wrong answer! The tank seal is worn. I use a pitcher to re-fill the water (no seal wear) . Remove the water tank, at the tank connection remove the seal cap by lifting, replace rubber seal (o-ring with groove), replace the cap (snaps in) done. Should last a year, buy several. Use a pitcher, I do.

How to fix the leak from the bottom of my cuisinart dgb-900bc

Re: Cuisinart grind and brew model DGB900BC leaking from the bottom. Finally fixed it before buying a new one. Remove the 4 torq screws (#10 bit check auto stores) from the bottom and remove the bottom. You will see a horse shoe shaped metal coil that heats the water from the resevoir. I found that the coil had a small hole in it. Cleaned it well and applied a coat of epoxy paste to the leaking area ( I used a product called PC11 from Ace) So far, no leaks, and the coffee maker is working like new.

I have a cuisinart grind & brew coffee pot that leaks when I put water in it. How can I open it to see where the water is coming from?

The Manual for your coffee maker can be found here:

http://www.cuisinart.ca/pdf/ibs/en/DGB-600BCC_en.pdf

'Leaks' are usually caused by overfilling either the water reservoir or the coffee basket or by coffee grounds interfering with a seal.

Make sure you perform a complete cleaning on your coffee maker making sure any contact points which need to seal are free of coffee grounds.

Instructions for removing the grinder and filter baskets are contained within your manual.

Leaks everywhere

Make sure the lid is on the caraffe and just try to run plain water through. Although, it sounds like you might actually have a crack/leak. Return to store if possible or call Cuisianrt if it really is leaking.

Coffee leaks after it is brewed

The water reservoir on this mdoel is very close to the coffee reservoir - if excess water gets between the wall of the coffeemaker and the coffee reservoir, it will leak exactly as you described. Make sure no water spills out of the water reservoir when your pour it.

Leaking cuisinart grind and brew

Our Cuisinart grind and brew was leaving a puddle under it after making a pot of coffee. I called Cuisinart this week and it turns out the handle of the carafe has to be lined up in the middle of the opening for the carafe. It will be under the word Cuisinart, in the middle.

We have now made several pots with NO residual puddle of water or coffee. It also seems to be making the pots quicker.

Before trying this I had run 2 pots of water with 1/2 cup white vinegar in it also. But it still puddled until we lined up the carafe as noted above.
