I have lost the manual for our B1601D - Built-In Double Oven. Could someone please advise the correct Oven setting - eg Bake, Classic Bake or Fan Bake which should be used when baking a sponge cake? Loell & Derek

How many active terminals are there at the main terminal block in the new oven. Is this a single or 2 phase supply. Have you connected the active supply to all active terminals. If only half of the oven is working it sounds like it could be a problem at the terminal block. If so, you need to put a loop or bridge wire to the 2nd active terminal. If all this was done correctly when connected the only other thing it could be is the electronic clock needs to be set to manual mode for the oven to work correctly.
You can find the manual at www.managemyhome.com, and the instruction is on page 11. You make sure the time is set correctly. You press Bake, and set the temperature you want to bake. You press Cook Time and enter the amount of time you want the oven to cook. You press Delayed Start, and enter the clock time that you want the oven to start.
Connie,
Found the owners manual but it was worthless didn't have the control board information.
Found the control board and it used in quite a few other makes has same functions on all the units.
So here's my best answer not your unit but is the same control board..
Sure hope this helps!?
I found I have this exact problem. Same bake preheat issue: I can bake if I set broil first. However, the oven doesn't work if I press bake first. The control board has already been replaced a couple times over the years. Is this another replacement??
I lost the instruction manual for my Whirlpool 30" Electric Built-In Double Oven and want to clean it. Can I get instructions for how to set the cycle for self-cleaning, etc.?
I am a gaggenau engineer this is usually a fault with the door lock mechanism it can be manually reset eg remove oven and side panel pull back locking arm there is a also a built in test prog in oven clock that will switch door lock back to reset position but these will need to be done by an engineer as oven very heavy.
