1) Spotlight search DVD player 2) Launch DVD player (without disc inside) 3) Open up the "Preferences" of DVD Player 4) Check the box that says "When disc is inserted...Begin playing disc"

Three possible solutions

Restart the Mac during the bootup, hold down the mouse key, that may work

use disk utility in applications folder and the utility folder and see if the disk shows up under your DVD drive and from there you can then press the eject button

Don't know if your macbook is an intel but if it isn't try restarting the computer and holding down: Cmd+Option+O+F and the type in the terminal box: eject CD and then press return

what software are u using, try titanium toaster or Burn X.

Hello, this can happen when the DVD's are not recognized by your Macbook, please check in apple menu, about this mac, more info, and cd/dvd player to see what dvd can your mac accept

I think you can work the CD out with a piece of cardboard , but be very careful!
