try running the optical cable from your dvd directly to your tv and then select whichever input (eg HDMI 1/2 etc) you use to play the xbox on..In theory this setup should allow any audio playing on the tv to go through the surround sound..hope it works
you need to plug rca cables into the audio out of your tv providing it has them then go to the setting menu in the tv go into the sound options and turn on surround sound
Do you have a cable box or satellite box? If you do, try hooking up your TV sound through the box. Look for audio out in the back of box (white/red RCA Jacks). Hook RCA cable from cable box to surround amp. Even if the audio out jacks are being used already, you can use Y connectors to hook up the surround amp to the box.
Hope this works for you!
This depends on whether you have digital cable box or not. If you have a Digi Cable Box look for the red/white RCA output and connect this via RCA cable to the Red/White Audio input on your surround.
If just Basic Cable look for a red/white audio output on the back of your televison. connect this to the Red/white in on your surround. Could be called tv in or auxillary.
are you going through a cable box ? if so, then just connect the video out cable from the surround system to the video in on the side of the LG. Then connect the left & right audio in cables into the cable box coming out of the sound system, this will work, I just set mine up this way, any other issues let me know.If you are not using a cable box then simple connect out of the sound system the left & right audio out cables AND the video cable into the side of the LG ( the left side is where these in puts are).
If you have direct cable into the television, you will need to use an audio output if available on the back of your set into your HT system.
If you are using cable w/ a cable box you have two options. You can still connect everything directly into the TV then reroute the audio to the HT system... or, you could hook only video to the TV and audio from the cable box to the HT system. Really up to you.
