SOURCE: software corrupted?

Try the following. Leave it to charge for a couple of hours and then try Updating it with Sony Ericsson Update Service from their site using your data cable. If it says you already have the latest software force it to go on. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: trouble with file manager

what you can do is do an upgrade of the firmware on the phone to correct this issue...or take the phone to a mobile center and have it diagnosed.

I am unable to transfer themes from my nokia e63 to any other phome as there is no option of send and delete please help me with this. Also I am not able to delete the themes as they are stored on my phone...

Hi,

You cannot delete send your inbuilt themes and there is no such folder for default themes. If you have saved new themes in Memory card then you can check it in memory card folders from file manager(main menu >> office >> file manager).

Saving Music to Memory Sticks

Memory sticks, memory cards and even USB thumb drives all get attached by Windows as a drive. Pull up Windows Explorer (file manager on Mac). Navigate to My Computer level. THis will show all drives attached including hard drives, connected USB drives and connected memory sticks/cards. You may not be sure which is which unless the drive was labeled with the cards branding. One way to determine is go to lower right task area and click on the 'safely remove hardware' icon (green arrow). Select safely remove hardware from pop-up menu. Check the box for Display device component. This should populate the window above with the actual names of the devices along with the assigned drive letter. Now that you know which one, open Windows Explorer, navigate to My Computer level and the select the drive letter. You can drag and drop files to and from this window to take files on and off the memory card/stick/USB drive. You can also right click on the drive letter and choose properties to see how much room you have on the card.

You should go to www.limewire.com and downlaod limewire and manually download each song and it'll help you have the music in your i-pod. Yoy can also open i-tunes and connect your i-pod home of your i-pod and check the box that says manually manage songs but that will erase the music you have in the i-pod but will allow you to put the mp3 files on the i-pod.

if suddenly your mobile option you, "Playback failed", that means the phone can not locate the file where it was placed, mostly this problem prisist, when you are using low quality 1 GB memory stick, then it is understood that the file which is bieng played, is moved or the phone is unable to locate the desired file.
mostly for such memory sticks phone lost the files, its solution is remove the memory stick and restart the phone or try formating the memory stick several time from the phone.

Memory stick

If you are using a PC to upload files onto your phone, here is the folder structure:

- "DCOM" folder, contains the photos that are taken by the camera of the phone.
- "MSSEMC" folder has a "Media Files" subfolder. You can organize your multimedia files here.
Access:
"audio" folder = Menu > File Manager > Sounds
"image" folder = Menu > File Manager > Pictures
"video" folder = Menu > File Manager > Videos
"theme" folder = Menu > File Manager > Themes
"other" folder = Menu > File Manager > Other
"webpage" folder = Menu > File Manager > Web pages
- Otherwise, if you create any folder in the Root directory of your memory card and put the files in it, the phone should recognise the types of files and you should be able to reach the files from:
Menu > File Manager > "Choose Media Type"

Hope this helps,
