Husqvarna 235 is leaking bar oil really bad

My husqvarna is leaking bar oil out the bottom, I cleaned and inspected the oil pump and there appears to be no problems but oil is dripping like it is leaking. The saw does need the H and L carburater adjusted because it is running to lean. Could this be the problem.

Hi, What Kind of oil do You use? A thiker one could be a solution.
Usualy there a other screw (than those H and L of the carburator) to adjuste the amount of oil spend on your blade.

SOURCE: Husqvarna 235 is not oiling.Hole and groove on bar

With saw running and high speed hold saw close to a piece of wood and check for oiling. If still no oil, then use air pressure at hole in bar to clear.

I have a 1974 L65 husqvarna chainsaw just wondering if it has a adjustment screw for the bar oil

No, the oil pump is fixed and driven by a gear behind the sprocket, on the bottom of the crankcase is a large alloy screw with a slot in it, behind here is a filter for the chain oil, this should be cleaned out periodically to keep the oil flowing to the oil pump.

Husqvarna bar oil leak? I have a Husqvarna 55 Rancher. After it has been sitting for a while, there is a puddle of bar oil underneath it. After removing the bar and chain, then the clutch and starter...

There is always going to be some oil under the saw, the pump is a constent loss system, oil onto the bar and chain and away, there is a lot of areas in the crankcase and chain brake for oil to get caught and drip out once the machine is set down, if the oil loss is not excesive i would say yjere is nothing wrong here.

What is the longest bar &chain i can put on my husqvarna 235

if you tighten the panel for the bar and chain too tight it pulls the bolts out slightly out of the chassis of the body. that is why it isnt oiling properly. i had a 235 and that is what happened to mine. what you could do is file down the raised plastic where the bolts enter the body and that might help.

I have a husqvarna 435 and its not oiling, is there an adjustment skrew anywhere? thanks

There is no oil adjustment on the 435 and these saws have bad oiling systems( leak oil badly when not is use and don't put out enough when running) , bad enough that it damages the bar and chain. The only solution is to use 30 weight engine oil ( bar oil is to thick). Crummy design.

Husqvarna 235 - not oiling- pulled oiler out checked oil flow from tank all OK. Assembled oil pump with inlet line full of oil and ran pump with coreless drill in both directions and no oil flow checked...

You cannot just rotate the pump shaft and expect it to pump, it has to have a throw, this is done by an acentric groove in the nylon pump gear working on a steel pin in the pump cover, the bigger the throw the more oil is pumped, the biggest problem with the early model was the oil went down the side of the bar and not onto the chain, there was a later delivery/pick up pipe to solve this.

My husqvarna automatic chain oiler doesn,t work...235 husqvarna any fixes?.

You may have gotten some saw dust particles inside the oil resevoir that got sucked into the delivery tube, thus clogging up the oiler...you can drain the oil out of resevoir and run some seafoam thru the oil resevoir to see if you can get it unclogged

Husqvarna 235 oil not getting to chain

take the bar off and make sure the oil passages are clean. Then start the saw with the bar off and see if oil is coming out of the port. If not then you need to check the tube in the oil tank. If that is okay then you have a bad oil pump.It may have a bad diaphram in it.
