Mitsubishi model # wt-42311 has a left top drawn down about 3 or 4 inches and some convergence issue in that area only. otherwise tv works fine

This model uses two of the STK-392-110 CHIPS and in order to replace them you need to remove the "Light box" .

I can tell you how and what is involved--parts cost on EBAY will be under 25 dollars total.

This model is fairly easy to get at the parts, unlike some other Mitsubishi sets which require much more effort.

If you want instructions or any advise let me know and if this told you something you did not know, rate this solution as very helpful as I do this here for free.

Do u know the dimensions of the rear projection/it quit working

These are the dimensions of the TV itself (including the bottom piece)
The height of the TV is 37.2 inches tall
the width is 49.6 inches wide
the depth is 17.4 inches deep.
the weight of the TV is 132.5 pounds (just thought you would want the weight as well if you are considering purchasing a stand)
I hope this helps and good luck!

TV will not unlock channels over TV14

I can help you unlock your Mitsubishi HDTV V-Chip.

Please follow these steps to bypass the vchip or reset the V Chip password.

These steps are actually for the rear projection models, but I hope the work for dlp plasmas as well.

I hope that helps.

Mitsubishi 50605 Convergence Board - Replacement?

Replacing the whole board will fix it, but is a bit of overkill. If you can solder and feel comfortable working inside the set, you can fix this yourself. Let me know if you wish to attempt the repair and I'll proviode additional details and instructions.

Mitsubishi VS-8087

There are L and R audio outputs in the rear, so you can hook it up to a surround sound system; no optical outs.
The screen size is 80 inches - but I'm sure your friend told you that.
