I have windows 7 SP 1and IE 10 but can not get Flash Player to work

I try to use Flash Player in IE 10 but although I have downloaded the latest version 11 plug in windows still asks me to download the latest flash player above version 10. Flash Player works in Firefox and Chrome.

  • Dyson Nicholson Jan 31, 2013

Hi Janis thanks for the reply. I understand re IE 10 and its flashplayer problems and I have other browsers loaded but I like IE 10. I have tried many work arounds but none work. I have the latest version installed and also its plug in. I ask why then does Microsoft not fix this problem. IE 10 downloads within its windows update process. No button pressed. However it is good and fast and I just need a flash player to view a few adverts I need. Will not play even when I uninstall IE 10 and go back to 9. Because of it architecture will not install IE 8 once you have had IE 9 or10 installed. Cheers

Still, come on people, you're idiots, haven't you read 'red' that IE10 does not support Flash properly, you just clicked Download???
To fix this you might try to go to Tools-Manage add-ons-Then enable the Flash player if it's disabled.
If that does not help, you'll need to go back to Internet Explorer 9.
Just Uninstall IE10 but for safety install any other browser.

SOURCE: how do i install the

Hi there,
You can download the latest Flash at: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
You can also download Flash 10.2 Beta which adds some extra options not included in 10.1: http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/flashplayer10/
You can ALSO get a DIVX Flash replacement for YouTube and other popular websites which provides better image quality than Flash. It's not a Flash replacement, however. That can be downloaded from here: http://labs.divx.com/divx-plus-web-player-hiq

Hi!

Download it from here: IE browser; other browsers.

If installation fails - run it in Safe Mode!

SOURCE: i download adobe flash player and it says download

Hi tanis59
You are probably using Windows 7 64 bit . IE 64 bit is not yet ready to integrate Flash Player 10.1 and you need to use IE 32 bit . You will find it here : Start / All Prgrams / Internet Explorer . Select IE and not IE 64 bit . It will download and install Flash Player on your machine .
Best regards ,

I'm running Windows XP. Using IE8, the youtube videos won't play. There is no warning or anything, just the video is black and there is no play button. On Google chrome, there is no problem with playing...

Well Sunkengarden, the videos you are watching on YouTube or any such websites are the Flash Player Applications. That means, the Browser on which you are trying watch the videos, needs Flash Player Application to be installed on your computer. Such traditionally most widely used flash players are Adobe Flash Player and Microsoft Silverlight.
While you are using Google Chrome, there is no problem just because of Google Chrome already have in-built flash player within it. But the problem remains for IE or other Browsers.
Different Web-Browsers use different types of Adobe Flash Players (IE type or Non-IE type). So, for best results, I recommend you to install both the IE and Non-IE Adobe Flash Players on your computer to have all the browsers play the videos without any problem.
Download the Flash Players by clicking on the following links:
Hope this helps,
Regards, Mrityunjay.

Flash player problems -XP

Hello,

You can uninstall Flash Player from Control Panel/Add Remove and then in FF you can go to Toos/Add Ons from the menu bar and if Flash Player is still listed , click on uninstall.

Once it is uninstalled use a Registry Cleaner to mop on data debris before proceeding further. If you need one let me know I'll send you a link.

Let me know if you get stuck doing this or let me know when you're done by commenting back and I'll guide you further.
