I have bought few copied games and now when i insert it in my ps 2 console it says can not read the disk. Kindly help i dont want to buy that much expensive games please.

the laser lens might be dirty.
try this:
use a q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol (not dripping) to clean the lens.
gently place the q-tip on the lens and gently twirl it.
use other end to dry it, again twirling it.

you could also use a laser lens cleaner for video game systems to clean it--sold at Best Buy or Walmart, Target, etc

Is your disc original!!!
If don't, you have to change it to original, because PS2 ( with no Mod-Chip) can't read copy disc.

It's different if you install a Mod-Chip on the PS 2 Board, it's not a big problem.

If your disc is original and still won't play, then possibly the disc it self or the PS 2 lens already dirty, try cleaning it both........

get ur ps2 modded then u can play pirated/burned games.

how many games have you tried? This could either be a laser problem and it needs replacing or cleaning, you can buy laser cleaning disks (really cheap), or it may be dirty disks. When my sons disks do not read I wipe them over with a little white spirit then dry them gently with a soft cotton cloth.

First of all dont play PIRATED games.

But for the solution , if your console is modded for playing pirated games, then any of the soldered wire through the modded chip may be disconnected or may be loosen. The soldering sometimes gets off the connections(the soldering guy may be ignorant) . So check your ps2.

Hey buddy FORMAT DISC means PAL games or NTSC games format.

There are 2 formats dics in this world for the PS1,PS2,PSP,Wii,Gamecube.etc

They are [NTSC] and [PAL]

[NTSC] is for North America and Japan ONLY. [NTSC] is Original games.

[PAL] is for Asia Only. Which is copied games form the Originals.

I need to know were did you bought PS2 Console from ?

If you bought it in North America or Japan then you have to buy and play Original games from North America Only.

If you bought your PS2 in Asia then you can play copied games.

It is most likely your PS2 is a NTSC, your PS2 cant read any PAL games so it will say format dics.

Here is why Wii wants you to upgarde,

Wii wants you to upgarde since last ver. can not be hacked. So Wii makes people to upgarde by using the games, so that the more you upgarde the harder it is to hack the Wii. If Wii can be hacked, you can play copied games, you can go to blockbuter get a game, copy the game in computer and make copies at of it, so that you dont have to buy the game. And your wii is able to read the copied games

Now lets start with your problem,

Well now it will be even harder to downgrade the frimware of you Wii. (Wii doesnt want you to downgarde). Try to upragde it again if that doent work then upgarde it from the Wii's web page at Wii.com

There can be a problem in you Wii's upgardeded frimware.

I have also envountered problems with dogs life, my only reasonable explination is:

 

dogs life is most propably written on a normal CD-R,

and sometimes a chipped PS2 struggles to read CD-R games, you will also find that older PSX games wont work either, hope this is of some help.

Error 80028f17 is a boot error and there is nothing you can really do about it, the disk is corrupted or burned (illegal copy) of the game. If it is legit, go back to the store and ask for another copy as it doesn't work.
