MFC 9320 CW doesn't keep the date/time

I have a paid for 9320 CW that does not keep the date and time. Other settings that are static such as the name/fax number/etc are retained so I am guessing it is a battery thing. Is this battery replaceable and where is it located? Thank you

found out there is a battery assembly LG6167001 -is this something I can replace?

  • Anonymous Jan 26, 2013

Found a PDF with parts list AND blow up diagram of where battery assembly (was 3.6 V 600 nAh NiMH battery. Easy to get to. unscrew one screw on left side cover in the back and GENTLY pry off enough to get to battery in left lower back. Battery Plus store had similar battery. Had to pop plastic assembly off end of battery and with shrink cover over each wire plug them into the printer wires. Has kept time so far after 10 hrs.

SOURCE: how do i errase memory from my brother fax machine

Putting the machine in Maintenance Mode will allow clearing all memory, but will also allow you to enter things which can totally mess up your machine, so be careful here...
Entering maintenance mode, method 1:
From normal ready state, enter:
Menu
* (Star on phone keypad)
2
8
6
4
[You MUST touch all those buttons within 2 seconds, or the machine will just leave you in the menus somewhere. If you slow down to let it finish beeping, you'll miss it. Press Stop and try it again, faster. Look for the word MAINTENANCE on the display, and/or all light flashing together.]
Some Brother models dont use method 1; they require Method 2:
Menu
Black Start
Up-arrow
Up-arrow
Up-arrow
Up-arrow
Success is indicated the same way as in Method 1. Try either method to see what works.
Once in Maintenance Mode, you have two choices. For either one, just enter the two-digit number. You don't touch Start or Enter, just the two digits.
91 Clears all memory except your phone directory and a few important things like that.
01 Clears everything, leaving your machine just like when you first unboxed it.
99 Takes the machine out of Maintenance Mode. It will take a minute to go through its entire startup routine, as if you'd just plugged it in.

Testimonial: "this time to fix my printer was so easy and fast I am realy happy whit the service."

Mfc 9320 cw is is printing leaving white lines and low quality images with new cartridges and new drums

If you replaced the drums and the cartridges and still get white lines it means there is something obstructing the imager. I believe this printer has LED imagers, In the printing process areas that are exposed to the light are printed as black on the paper and areas that are not exposed are left white. I would look for some dirt or debris on the scanners or some LED are faulty. If it has a laser scanner there may be dirt on a mirror

Each time I power on my canon SX120 IS, I need to set date and time. Why doesn't the camera save the settings?

Either you're in a time warp in an alternate universe (highly unlikely) or you need to press ok/set twice after entering the date and time.

My brother mfc 665-cw is saying offline no matter what I do to try to print wirelessly

Go to system settings and select the 'Printer' option.

Right-click on the printer and enable the 'Use Printer Online' function.

Cancel all the printing jobs till that moment and redo the process.

Sometimes the 'Printer Offline' message occurs due to a 'Job Stuck' issue.

Check all network connections and functions.

Be sure the network interfaces work properly.

Turn the printer off and on to see whether the device is working properly.

How to set the date and the time in brother fax mfc-8220? what's the steps?

Your MFC displays the date and time and if you set up the Station ID
it prints on every fax you send. If there is a power failure, you may
have to reset the date and time. All other settings will not be affected.
1 Press Menu, 0, 2.
2 Enter the last two digits of the year.
Press Set.
3 Enter two digits for the month.
Press Set.
(For example, enter 09 for September, or 10 for October.)
4 Enter two digits for the day.
Press Set.
(For example, enter 06 for 6th.)
5 Enter the time in 24-Hour format.
Press Set.
(For example, enter 15:25 for 3:25 P.M.)
6 Press Stop/Exit.
The LCD now shows the date and time whenever the MFC is in
Standby mode.

thx, if this helps please rate :)
