The car starts without any issues. An orange check engine light comes on most times the car is started. Occasionally an orange light that looks like a chassy will light up - although I am not sure what this light is supposed to indicate. The car will shift into reverse smoothly, and the idle is strong enough to back out of the drive as normal. When the car is shifted into drive the car creeps at less than 5 mph, and pushing the gas gets no response at all - not even an engine rev (or so minimal that it cannot be perceived). Shutting the car off, removing the car, and restarting the car, sometimes multiple times seems to resolve the issue. This only seems to happen if the engine is cold - either first thing in the morning, or if the car has sat for a while - several hours. The car is stored in a garage and not parked out doors.
If you have somebody push the gas a little while you watch the throttle cables (while in park of course, lol) does it move or seem to have a little slack? does it have any slack at all when not having gas pedal pushed and you push on the cable a little with your finger, no harder than your eye when shut. sorry for the poor example. i am not a hyundai driver so I do not know much at all about them but I do know cars. I can try to help if you will answer.
