SOURCE: My Bosch diswasher water inlet work fine, when the

Hi, it sound's like the wash motor is either seized or just stuck, let's hope it's the later. Bosch had issued a service tip about this problem several years ago titled "Loosening Frozen Impellers" strange choice of word's considering nothing is froze..at least you'd hope lol. I have a copy of it at home and I can likely post it later, ( I'm on my iphone presently ) but essentially what it say's is this...Remove the pump fitler ( inside the tub under the bottom rack ) locate the hole to your right down in the sump well, you should be able to see it with a flashlight or well lit area. Once you've located this hole ( it's providing access to the wash impeller without pulling the unit from the cabinet ) reach in with a 8mm nut driver and locate the end of the impeller and turn it clock-wise until it feel's to turn freely. Give it a test perhaps in a rinse cycle before you put all the filter and screen back together. It should be fine unless the motor is seized, we'll cross that bridge when we get to it, try the repair tip for now. Let me know how that help's and/or if you need further assistance. Thank's for visitng "fixya" for you repair tip's. If this is indeed helpful please rate the solution accordingly, if not, again please let me know. Thanks again and good luck. Macmarkus :)

Dishwasher starts program, then few mins in pause/start button flashes "insufficient water supply". Checked all hoses and all clear. Anyone? Thank you. Glen

As soon as the waser begins the wash cycle pause, open door record water level in sump.

Close door and continue cycle until machine faults and stops.

Open door, record water level in sump.

Compare before and after. If level is low that the flapper valve that allows the water to drain is stuck open and the water is draining into the sink as the unit is washing.

To confirm, if the washer drain hose is connect to the neck of the disposal or sink drain, observe the drain after restarting the wash cycle from the beginning. If water is trickling out from the dishwasher while it is washing then it is confirmed the drain door is not closed if equipped with that configuration.

All washers have a process and hardware to drain. Some have a sepperate drain pump

Hope thisd helpd?

My dishwasher backed up into my kitchen sink , it was about 30 minutes into a 2 hour wash cycle--i drained the diswasher, but 1 inch stayed in it till this morning, the sink drained on its on

It sounds like an issue with the sink drain rather than the dishwasher. Many dishwashers are connected to a double sink, one bay of which contains a garbage disposal. If yours is connected in that configuration, run the disposal to clear any food debris that may still be present while running the HOT water into the disposal.

If you have no disposal or if the dishwasher is connected to the other non-disposal bay, check the sink drain again for proper drainage.

The easiest way to do this is to put a plug in the drain (both sides, one at a time), then fill the sink about half way with luke warm water. Then reach in and pull the plug from each side, watching to see how each side drains, but especially the side with the dishwasher connected. If it's slow draining, focus your efforts on clearing the drain on that particlular side of the sink. Try a plunger first before resorting to other methods to clear the sink. If you plunge the dishwasher side, get underneath the sink and pinch off the discharge line from the dishwasher if possible. A pair of vise grips works well, but don't overtighten them.

Some dishwashers have a soft disposal that can eject enough ground up particles into a sink to cause plugging up over time, especially if the dishwasher empties into the disposal side.

Bosch Front Load not draining

Sounds like a blockage. First port of call. Check where the drain hose goes into the sink trap of your Laundry Trough. Here in Australia we connect the drain hose into the sink trap. Most of the time if the hole drilled into the sink trap is not large enough it can create an obstruction in the waterflow out of the machine. Lint and stuff can build up and partially and at times fully block the exit into the trap. Try this first.
If that appears fine you should remove the drain in the front bottom of the machine. Use a bath towel to absorb the wter that exits as you unscrew the round plug in the bootom of the machine. If the plug wont unscrew or only partially unscrews you will need to call a technician to remove the drain pump and unblock things.
Goodluck. Let me know how it goes.

Whirlpool Diswasher did not drain

HI, this seems to be an obstructed hose(drain). i recommend inspecting the hoses before replacing the pump.

To access the drain hose remove the lower panel located beneath the door. The panel is usually held in place with two screws either above or below the panel. It may be necessary to first open the door to the dishwasher to reach the screws over the panel, then close the door to remove the panel.

The drain hose connects to the pump and runs to the sink drain (or to the air gap on top of the sink). The pump has a second hose that recirculates the water back into the dishwasher. The drain hose is roughly 1 1/2 inches in diameter. While inspecting the drain hose, check the recirculation hose as well.

When checking for blockages, disconnect the drain hose from the pump, pinch the wire clamp with pliers and slide it up the hose. Place a shallow pan beneath the pump to catch any spillage. Remove the hose from the pump; wiggling the hose may help to loosen it.

Check the hose and nipple to the pump for any debris. The only way to be certain the drain hose is completely clear is to disconnect it from the sink and run water through (such as spraying a garden hose through it at full pressure). Disconnect the recirculation hose and check it in the same way.

Reconnect the hoses and replace the clamps. Replace the lower panel and restore electricity to the dishwasher. If there are no obstructions found or debris, this will confirm a damaged pump and, it should be replaced.

Bosch Running a LONG LONG Time and Watering Remaining

Hi,
You could try running the machine with the drain hose leading to a large bucket. If it works OK in this situation then the blockage will be most likely where the drain hose joins the house drainage system - often at a junction under the kitchen sink. With the drain hose disconnected you should be able to see the blockage and clear it with a suitable pointy tool.
Let me know if this sorts it. Thanks, D.

Bosch built in dishwasher won't drain

1.
  1. Adjust the level of the washer to mitigate sound.
  2. The water backup is due to the low drain hose mounting position. Check the sink disposal position; the drain hose connection from the dishwasher to the disposal must be placed higher than the present drain hose passing the sink cabinet from your dishwasher.

Bosch Diswasher not draining

Soyben, you need to check to see if either the drain hose or syphon break at the sink is clogged. The drain motor on this model is not a bilge pump that will remove water from the base. Therefore Im leaning on a restriction somewhere. Other than that you may have to check for debris in the drain sump. Check these areas out first...Catriver...post back
