Cannot setup/connect to Kyocera CS-2050

We previously had this set up in another office for copying, network B&W printing ans scanning to multiple PC's. We moved to a new location and set up a new network. The same computer which it was networked with was also taken. Even though the software was already installed and it shows the unit as ready and online, we cannot connect for printing or scanning. We cannot find the software CD to reinstal. Any suggestions?

I have a similar problem, but I have a (untested) theory (too busy with my own work & PC repairs to try it out. If the printer is set up over TCP/IP, the IP address and default gateway may be different in the new location to those in the old one.....possibly....perhaps?!

Copystar cs-2050 scanner

the 2050 scanner card is an option, it is located on right side above the
network card. if you have one you will need to run a separate cable connection to a switch or router. if you are scanning to a file on computer, you will need to download a program called scanner file utility.the scanner will only work on a network connection.

Kyocera Printer Drivers and Mac OS® X 10.5 Leopard FAQ:
Is the installation for Mac OS X 10.5 the same as for Mac OS X 10.4 and earlier? Mac OS X 10.5 introduced a new printing architecture that requires changes to the installer and installation process. For this reason, Mac OS X 10.5 requires a new printer driver installer.

I cannot see my Kyocera AppleTalk® printer. How can I make it visible to OS X 10.5? AppleTalk is disabled by default in Mac OS X 10.5. Enable AppleTalk to discover your Kyocera printer. If you use the Kyocera installer, a message will appear, asking you to enable AppleTalk. Click Yes to continue the installation.

I cannot find Printer Setup Utility on Mac OS X 10.5. Is it still supported? Apple has removed Printer Setup Utility from Mac OS X 10.5. To install a printer, open System Preferences and click Print & Fax.

When I manually install a printer, multiple PPD files are listed for the same Kyocera model. Which should I choose? When manually installing a printer or changing a PPD for a installed printer, both Linux and Mac OS X PPDs are listed for some older Kyocera models due to a change in PPD handling in Mac OS X 10.5. Linux PPDs can be identified by the word Gutenprint in the PPD filenames.

MY PC DON'T DETECT THE SCANNER FROM A KYOCERA 2050

First make sure you have a scanner on this machie. The scanner NIC is an option for this machine. If you press the Scanner button on the panel and nothing happens then you most likely don't have one. There is a network connection for printing that is standard that is located on the right side of the machine. If you have a scanner on the machine there will be a second network connection about 6 inch above the printer network connection. It sounds like you don't have the scan option.

I have a Kyocera CS 1820 copier, scanner, fax machine and I can't figure out how to geet it to scan to pc. I have installed the drivers from the kyocera site and still no luck......

Make sure that you downloaded the correct drivers....Etc... (x64) vs (x86) also make sure you have the proper script # driver ... Etc... #5.1 vs #6. You will want to completely uninstall all the old drivers, shut down your computer --- do not just reboot, reinstall all the new drivers, and after your computer is done rebooting – shut it down and restart. Also make sure that you and the designated file set up on the computer, it needs to know where to scan the document and send it to.

Kyocera km 2050

The 2050 uses 2 network connections, one for the printer and one for the scanner.
Before I go into any great detail,
Do you have a home network? Are you using a switch?
Are you printing through the network connection or the USB/parallel port?
Are you trying to twain scan? Do you have the software CD for scanning.
If not, you will need to download the drivers from the Kyocera web site.
