Beeping for no reason

My grind and brew is beeping for no reason. I've only had it a few months and took everything out to clean it, as I do every day, and it just started beeping. I unplugged it, changed the time, program and put pieces back in it and it is still beeping. Any ideas?

When you were cleaning it, you may have broken off the stem that presses the plunger in when the lid is closed. I did the same thing and glued it back on with Gorilla Glue. Sometimes if it starts beeping, you can press the plunger in with a pen and it will finally *******!

The constant beeping is caused by either 1 part being out of place, or the lid being open. Double check the charcoal water filter holder, the brew basket, and the grind chamber to make sure they are in palce. Then close the lid. If the beeping persists, unplug the unit for 20 minutes or longer and replug. Good luck!

So i had this same problem for months, and it was the plunger that presses the button down. if thats your problem then its an easy fix:
i took just a regular screw that could screw into the plastic peice that used to hold the "button pusher"

then i used a pair of wire cutters and cut the screw down to 3/8ths of an inch(easier then i expected, but watch out for shrapnel) then take the 3/8s part and use a pair of needle nose pliers, or vice grips and screw it into the plastic piece about an 1/8th of an inch
close the lid and if the beeping stops then you're golden. if not, then it sucks to ****.

also you may want to sterilize the screw in something.

My Cuisinart 10 cup Grind & Brew does not finish the brew cycle. After brewing 2 cups of coffee, it beeps 5 times as if the brew cycle has ended. Then it continues to drip very very slowly. It's only...

you need to run a few pots of straight white vinegar through the machine to clean out the lime build up in the tubes. the first time you do it, after it starts to pump the water, shut it off for a few hours and let the vinegar sit in the tubes. after doing this run a few pots of cold water through before making coffee.

Took it apart to clean it now i have unscrewed and a spring has come out that makes the door to the filter open and close. oopps

A clean coffee maker is essential to good coffee. Residue of stale coffee oils will interfere the brewing that caused only little produced. It is suggest regular cleaning of your coffee maker according to manufacturer recommendation.
I took everything out, got a small piece of fine sandpaper, held the plunger in with a pencil, turned on the grinder and sanded the round top portion of the grind basket driver. It takes a few times to get a good snug fit that’s still easy to remove.
The instruction manual that came with the pot will tell you to use one cup (measuring cup) of "white vinegar" and fill the rest of the reservoir with regular water. Turn it on and let it perk the mixture through the system. Then perk a couple of pots of plain water to flush out the rest of the vinegar.
The books say to do this once a month to keep things clean and the coffee tasting great.
A professional machine that is plumbed into a water supply must be thoroughly disassembled, and each part soaked in acid, and manually cleaned. Unless your water is exceptionally hard (you should have a water softener inline with the machine in hard water areas) this should only need to be done every 5 years or so. Heads and screens and filters should be soaked every day in a cleaning solution available from any professional machine supplier. A machine that is not plumbed should have a small amount of Puly brand cleaner added to its tank, and run through several cycles every 3 months. Puly is available thru machine suppliers, but there are also several other brands that do the same. Visit your local coffee machine shop for a good cleaner.

Hope this may help;

Cuisinart burr grind and brew coffee maker

The hopper between the burr grinder and where coffee chutes into the filter is jammed with coffee powder...

First, take out the filter holder and carafe, and place a freash empty filter on the pot base to catch stuff.

Next, take out the beans holder and look for the release lever in the lower left section. Sliding it to the left slides open the door, where you'll probably find loads of powder. You can poke your finger through to get the majority, then use the cleaning brush to get it really clean.

Thanks what fixed mine! (I notice I have to do this about once every few months.)

Brewing stops mid cycle

Sounds like dosage is too high and grind is too fine.

Rule of thumb with any saeco unit.

Do not grind any finer then 2 or your looking for trouble.

Open grinder, clean it out with a vac. Slapped it back on.

The reason it stops is grind is too fine, and the machine doesn't have enough pressure to pass threw the grinds, creates back pressure in the machine and the unit failsafes after a certain amount of time with and pressure.

Back pressure is what blew your boiler.

Won't stop beeping

Every part must be snuggly in place.  I took the removable parts out and put them back a second time, and that did the trick.  I must not have had everything in 'just right'.

Coffee maker beeping

Is your grinder in and the lid down? My coffee maker (grind & brew) started beeping after I cleaned it and turned the left knob clockwise with the grinder still disassembled. There's a little button that is depressed when you close the lid with the grinder in there (I'd guess it's a safety feature). I pressed down that button, and the beeping went away.
