Here is how to reset your Nintendo Wii:
1. First, the easy way. A soft reset of the Ninetendo Wii. If you Nintendo Wii has just started acting up and there is no reason to perform a hard reset then follow this instruction. Simply press the reset button and hold down for 2 seconds on your Nintendo Wii Console.
2. Now, for the more advanced hard reset. Interestingly, the Nintendo Wii has NO hard reset facility to be accessed through the machine or via buttons. The ONLY way to hard reset your Nintendo Wii is to UNPLUG it for 5 minutes and remove the battery from its compartment. After 5 minutes replace the battery and try the console again. Once it is unplugged it resets itself and your badly behaving Nintendo Wii should be restored.
Note: By hard resetting the Nintendo Wii, it will not delete any information on the SD Card that is used for storage. If you wish to delete this data, stick it into a computer with a multi-media card device or a digital camera and reformat it.

Hi there,
Your Wii controller has a power saver function built into to turn off the controller and save battery life. If it's not recognizing the controller, try rebooting the Wii. If that doesn't work then your Wii controller needs to b re-synced.

If it's not powering up at all then the batteries need to be replaced.

The Wii console will not turn on. What could be the problem? I have tried plugging into diff outlets and nothing.

Considering how often I see this problem, I'm amazed Nintendo didn't address it in their FAQ on the Wii.

This is a common problem with the Wii. As I said, I'm very surpised Nintnedo didn't cover this in theowners manual FAQ, considering it happens almost every time there is apower surge or the power goes out, etc.

Even if it's hooked upto asurge protector, this happens. Power comes back on, but the Wii appearsdead. It won't turn on, and the LED indicators won't light. If therewas a power surge, or the power went out,etc...anything, this will happen. The problem is with the AC adapter2_bing.gif,not the Wii itself.

There is no need to buy a new one or a AC adapter. Resetting it should work. There is a circuit inside the AC adapterthat needs to be reset. Unplug the AC adapter from the wall/surgeprotector outlet. Don't unlpug it from the Wii, it has to be at theoutlet. You have to kill power to the adapter.

Unlpug it fromthe wall/surge protector outlet, and leave it unplugged for 5 or 10minutes. This will kill power to the AC adapter, and give the circuittime to reset. When you plug the adapter back into the outlet after 10 minutes, the red led on the front should be lit up.

My G1 phone wont factory reset itself and i dont know what to do, im not sure if i can still return my phone and get a new one because i had it since March 13,2009

Have you tried a reset using the hardware buttons? To perform this, you need to turn off the phone first. While it is off, press and hold the home key and the power key at the same time. Keep holding the buttons until you see a screen with a triangle and an exclamation point in the middle. Once you see the triangle, let go of the buttons and open the keyboard. Press ALT+W at the same time, and the phone should reset.

Wii fit board wont sync

Ok I feel a little silly, there is a sync button on the console (inside the flap by the power on button) and the board (inside the battery compartment on the underside of the board) as soon as I pressed them at the same time it worked. Goodluck everyone.
