Did You try to connect the wii to the internet manually or did you try searching for local networks. Let me know what you have tried.

take off the battery compartment for the Wii Remote, and you should see a small red sync button. While the Wii is on, open up the flap for the SD cards, and you should see a red sync button on the Nintendo Wii. While holding the red sync button for the Wii Remote, press and hold the red sync button on the Nintendo Wii. After a few seconds, put the battery cover back on, and test the Wii Remote. also, if the games you want to play are copied, like $5 games from asia, you will need a modchip to be installed in your console. if they are licensed real copies, you can buy a datel freeloader to make your wii region free

  • If you have multiple routers and/or modems, try to connect to no more than one router and one modem try connecting from another location.
  • If you are using only one modem or router, something on your network or from your Internet Service Provider is blocking the connection. You may need to contact your service provider for more information.
  • If you do not have the ability to connect from another location (such as a friend's house), please call 1-800-255-3700 so that we may discuss available options.

In the main menu of the Wii, with all the channels, "click Wii Options" Then go to "Wii Settings" Click on the right arrow and choose internet. Enter your PIN number then choose "OK" Then choose "Connection Settings" Then choose an unused connection. Then, if your connection's wireless, choose either "Access Point" or "Wi-Fi" Then choose your connection. If connection is secured, enter password and choose "OK" Then choose "Use this connection"
If connection is wired, choose "OK" Then choose "Use this connection"
Your Wii console should be connected to the internet.

Have connected wii to cable via cisco asa 5505 box. getting error code 52020. have restarted comcast modem to no effect.

    Connecting directly to a modem:
  1. Power off the Wii. Connect the official Nintendo Wii LAN adapter to the Wii, and insert a working ethernet cable into the official Nintendo Wii LAN Adapter.
  2. Unplug all devices from your modem. Most modems are unable to support more than one device at a time.
  3. Power cycle your modem. To do this, unplug the power from your modem and let it rest for 20 seconds. Plug the power back in. Connect the Ethernet cable from your Wii console to the Ethernet port on your modem.

  4. If the connection test fails, try a "Manual Setup" with the Wii console (how to), using your network's IP address, Default Gateway, Subnet Mask, and DNS information. To access these settings:
    1. On your PC, click "Start" and then "Run."
    2. Type "CMD" into the field that appears to open a new window.
    3. Type "IPCONFIG/ALL" and press "Enter" to display a list of internet settings, including the settings listed above. Input these exactly as they're listed into the "Manual Setup" of the Wii console's internet connection.

Hi.

It appears that your Wii console's Internet connection may be affected by wireless interference.
Try the following:

1) The Wii console's internet connection settings are not correct. This could include your network name (SSID), WEP or WPA keys, or any manual settings you may have entered.

2) It's possible something has changed since you last connected online with your Wii console. Try setting up a new connection file, using your router's settings.


3) While "Search for an Access Point" is the easiest and recommended connection type, your network may require you to use the "Manual Setup" option. Click on the link below for help

Where is the place you can put the internet connector in to ? is it on the back of the console or is it on the top i cant find it please help me
The wii does not come with an ethernet port (or place to connect to wired internet) built in. It's primary internet connection is through wifi or wireless internet. A USB adapter can be bought (like these) Those plug into the back of the console in the usb port.

My wii wont connect to the internet. i havnt used the wii internet for a while, but i use my computer & the internet often. it's telling me to 'confirm the SSID and try again' I cannot find...
1. Go to the Wii settings page on your Wii - it's on the bottom left hand corner of the home menu
2. Scroll right until you see the Internet option then select
3. Select Connection Settings
4. Clear all your previous internet settings, or select one of the three presets that says none
5. Select wireless connection then search for an access point
6. Select your wireless connection name (SSID) from the resulting list
7. input the password for it if you have one then follow the onscreen instructions

I have internet through cable.it runs through the sb5101u surfboard motorola modem. i bought the lan adaptor to go to the wii, for netflix, but it won't connect to the internet. error code 52020
