My whirlpool washer flashes f35

My whirlpool washer keeps flashing f35 we have to unplug washer and then go to drain and spin cycle and then re do load

  • azulliavon Jan 18, 2009

I have the same problem with a F35 error code, however, I first get a message "sud" (excessive suds in machine even if I run the CLEAN cycle and re-run without any detergent). I am having a service repairman back for the FOURTH time. I am VERY VERY dissatisfied with the product to date.

F35 is a water level error.
The water level switch (pressure switch) has malfunctioned.

If you remove the top panel, three screws in the back, you will have access to the pressure switch.

With the tub empty, remove the vinyl hose from the switch and blow backwards through the hose to clear any restrictions.

If the fault codes return after doing this, you will likely need to replace the pressure switch.

Also - please be sure to use He soap.

ANALOG PRESSURE SENSOR FAILURE
If this failure is displayed, there is any malfunction of the steamer
component detected by the Steamer Electronic Board.

Possible Causes/Procedure
Check if pressure hose is fixed correctly.
Check if the airtrap is not blocked.
Check if the hose is not blocked.

Make sure you are ONLY using HE SOAP!
Correct usage amounts are as follows:

Regular HE SOAP = 2 Tablespoons
2X HE SOAP = 1 Tablespoon
3X HE SOAP = 1 Teaspoon

The information on the soap usage comes directly from Whirlpool Tech Line.

SUDS LOCK (OVERDOSE OF DETERGENT DETECTED DURING THE
WASH CYCLE)

If suds are detected continuously by the pressure switch during the drain
or spin phases, the washer will fi ll 4 liters of water and during 5 minutes
the unit will rest without tumbling, the water will be drained and it will try
to spin or drain again.

Possible Causes/Procedure

If too much detergent was used:
Run through a RINSE/SPIN cycle.
Run a NORMAL cycle without adding any detergent.
This should clear the unit of the excess detergent.
Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
Unplug washer or disconnect power.
Check wire harness connections to the drain pump, pressure switch,
and Central Control Unit (CCU).
Check/clean drain pump filter of foreign objects.
Plug in washer or reconnect power.
Check drain pump.
Check the pressure switch.
Verify CCU operation by running a Diagnostic Test or any cycle.

F35 Is an electrical fault in the Control Board.
Try setting the machine on off.
Then remove the plug from the wall for 5minutes. this will usually reset the system and get you going if it is only a glitch in the electrical system.
If this fails to remedy the problem then you have what appears to be a failed control board.
The only way to be sure is to have it diagnosed by a hands on tech.
Or risk your money by swapping it out your self.
The problem is that usually when my customers try this, they end up spending part money and then a service call on top of their failed attempt.

Flashing F2

“F02” (Drain Problem)
Select PAUSE/CANCEL twice to cancel the cycle. Unplug
washer or disconnect power.
Check the following:
Is the drain hose kinked?
Is the drain hose frozen?
Is the drain hose clogged?
Is the drain hose more than 96" (2.4 m) above the floor?

After running this check list, plug back up and try a complete cycle using cold water and no detergent. Sudding can mimic a drainage issue as well. make sure you are using the correct HE detergent to prevent over sudding.
