1)Our brand new Sharp aquos is making a buzzing sound, almost louder than the volume of the TV. We set the TV up 5 days ago. Our retailer said it had to sit for a week. The buzzing is intermittent, but almost all the time, especially when we first turn it on. I disconnected all the wires, to see if it was the dvd player or the external speakers, but it still made the sound. 2) I connected the external speakers into the output terminals. a friend of mine has the same TV,and our connections are the same but he can turn up the volume of the external speakers with his cable remote. He cannot operate the volume for the TV. My sharp remote works for the power and the volume, the rest is done on my satellite remote. So what can I do to get the volume control of my external speakers on a remote? thanks Kim

U already change the remote control for brand new batteries wright?Yes.Remote controls devices are heavily depend on it CPU chip for all of it functions.Test the tv manual buttons like Power,Menu,Volume - + and Channel + - all work?Yes.The tv remote control CPU is dead that why doesn't read the tv infered laser signal at all.Try website like Remotes.com to buy an original remote for the replacement.
are you watching movies frm a dvd player with the sound up, if so, turn the sound up on the dvd player remote and see hwo that works. eor, if its movies on normal tv screen, go to settings and click booster sound too hear better. if yours does not have this, ring your manufacture for a refunded tv with better speakr sound quality.
If you use a digital cable box, it could be that the volume on that isn't turned up all the way. I didn't even realize the box had volume controls until 2 years after I got it...makes a HUGE difference now
This hapen only on HDMI conection. Try to update the firmware, but beeing in warranty you should call an authorized tech. If your from Montreal area I can do it for you.
