My 37lg30 turns on on its own then moves between settings

There is nothing wrong with the connection, your TV or computer. Just changw the resolution settings under the display properties. Start with the lowest setting 800X600 and move your way up. It will eventually appear.

Must be the IR receiver usually is soldered on a circuit board. Time to call your warranty..

SOURCE: TV randomly turns itself off and on

This issue is related to the TV's main board not seeing constant A/C power to unit so the board is turning off the TV.

When the TV's main board see A/C power back to the unit, the TV will try to turn back on.

This issue could be a loose power connection for the TV or a failing part inside the TV. Do other electrical devices work when plugged into the same wall outlet?

Try the following:
1. Remove the cord from the back of the TV and reinstall it (perhaps it's loose going into the TV and was not installed correctly).
2. Try putting the cord into a different wall outlet (perhaps it's not a good outlet).
3. Try using a new power cord for the TV. (Any matching cord will work for testing)


If the above did not resolve the issue, then it could be the switch mode power supply and or the main board inside the TV. Both items are easy to change out.
