What is wrong with my 50cc scooter when i hit the starter button and it just clicks clicks in the relay?

I had same problem. I changed the starter and all is good. Before you do that, check all your connections at the battery, starter and grounds. File frame where ground meets it to ensure a good ground. Do the same for the other connections. Try it. If it still clicks, it;s the starter.
