There should be an option to reset your phone in 'settings'.
Back Up and Reset should give you the option to reset with no problems. As you enter this option, the last option here is 'Factory Data Reset'. Try this and let me know what transpired after....

Whoa. yOU TRIED TO do what? Oh boy, now you\'re in a pickle. My suggestion to you would be to try the Factory restore again, and THIS time have it erase the previous operating system and not SAVE any settings or ANYTHING. SOmetimes, as with ACER, and WITH ACER....Doing a Factory Restore when trying to save your OLD data will corrupt the new install 70 percent of the time. My suggestion and my STRONG suggestion is to do the Factory Restore and to WIPE out the old data and let the Acer Recovery Manager walk you through the rest. The Restore Partition has ALL of the drivers and things that you will need to get the Laptop back up and running again.

You have to use the same solution for unlocking phones when you lose a password, i.e. when you lock yourself out after forgetting your password. Go to Youtube and a number of videos show you how. I did it successfully. Power off completely for about 30 seconds. You hold the home, volume and power buttons same time until the menu factory menu button comes on. Use up and down button to make your selection. I can't remember else from here. But when you find the factory restore option, select it. Good luck.

Just reset it to factory settings. Sometimes improper keying inputs may make the system control confused. Resetting it to fatory settigs will rectify it. to reset it to factory settings do the following.

• Press the (>>') button (in front panel) for more than 5 seconds with no disc

inside. All settings including the password will revert to the factory

settings. • When the factory default settings are restored, all the user data stored in
the persistent storage will be deleted. OK.

Are you restoring from CD or from a built in restore feature. If you are restoring from CD, clean the CD's first and try again.
