Great picture, no audio. no audio on audio out using computer speakers either. no audio period, dvd, games, etc. my brother tried to plug in some reguler speakers to the audio out, they were 8 ohm.

Hi,

The problem you are experiencing with your TV is as a result of a bad sound output IC(integrated circuit),the sound IC generates and transmits all forms of sound produced by the TV,since its bad no form of sound can be produced from the TV.

The solution is to replace the sound IC of your TV,it is normally located beside the screen IC,depending on your brand of television,it can be purchased from any electronic part shop close to you .

Thanks and take care..

I have a problem with the sound volume being very low with most applications. I have run the windows sound analyzer and it does not detect any problems. The sound is not muted and the volume is all the way...

From your volume at the taskbar far right beside the start menu right click on the volume icon and click on Adjust audio properties from there you will find speaker settings and form there click on Advance and change the kind of settings of speaker you are using to the one that will make a party noise out and you can continually change the settings to get the one that suites you ok.

No sound is coming from the speaker itself although sound can be heard with a earphone inserted into the jack on te speaker

it sounds to me that you may have a blown speaker or speakers or that an internal wire inside your speaker box has come unplugged form your speaker if you are good at working on electronics i would try togo further into the problem and take the speakers apart or simply buy another set. they sell for extemely cheap at wal mart or even a dollar general

Only left/right have sound during the test

all of the channel are resonding to the test. but you cant notice it bec 5.1 speakers, each channel are designed to respond to a certain frequecies.  the L/R channel your talking about have the mid-range frequecies so it responds clearly compared to other channels...

hope that helps...
