Acer user manual page 6:
"Acer ePresentation Management lets you project your computer's display to an
external display device or projector using the hotkey: <Fn> + <F5>. If autodetection
hardware is implemented in the system and the external display
supports it, your system display will be automatically switched out when an
external display is connected to the system. For projectors and external devices
that are not auto-detected, launch Acer ePresentation Management to choose an appropriate display setting."

You might have not enabled your computers second display.

This is actually a very nice feature, because you could run your powerpoint slide on the monitor while still running your normal applications on the laptop screen.

Go into control panel, display properties and then click on the "second" monitor (you could click on "Identify" to see which is which) and then select the "expand my desktop onto this screen.

The LCD display will be just a normal background, but you can drag windows from your laptop screen onto the LCD and back.

Hope this helps

Problem with hitachi cp-RS55 multimedia projector sir

There is a menu item which has both the lamp hour reset and check air flow, etc. You must go into the menu and reset the air flow item. MAKE SURE YOU CLEAN THE DUST FILTER!! Heat is the number one killer of projectors and Hitachi's run "hot". I clean my projector once a week--Hey, I'm not rich. lol! Also, excessive heat will cause the lcd panels to fail prematurely and cause lots of other components to do the same.--Rick

No display on expantion vga port for projector

The problem might be related to your native screen resolution. The C702TU laptop has a resolution of 1280 x 800. Most projectors do not support this resolution and if you cloned the main display, your projector cannot sync at this resolution. Look for an option to output a second display )instead of cloning) within your display settings. If your projector is plugged into your VGA port and turned on, Windows usually detects the second display automatically. Change the resolution on the second screen to something like 1024x768 or 800x600. These resolutions are supported almost universally across projectors.

I have a problem with my ibm thinkpad notebook i want to connect my notebook hp projector how can i

When you connect a data projector or a monitor to the video output connector on the laptop you can toggle the display in various configuration by press and hold the blue Fn key and then press the F7 key (once or a couple of times as required) this key has a blue symbol of a pair of monitors.
Press it once the LCD will switch off and the display will switch to the external video output.
Press it again and the display will be on both the LCD and the external video output.
Press it again and the display will be only on the LCD.

Connecting to laptop

Try changing the refresh rate on your graphics drivers to 60 or 70 hz on both your laptop screen and the projector. Do this at the desired resolutions as well.

Multi-media projection without image

A great deal of the time DVD players are very restrictive on outputting to multiple sources due to copyright protection. In my experience, if you use your laptops function keys to toggle output (For example, on my laptop, I hit FUNCTION + F4 to cycle between LCD,LCD+VGA,VGA), you should be able to disable the laptop's LCD display, only outputting via the VGA cable. It's worked for me with my HP VP6111 and Windows XP in the past. Hope this helps!
