In the manual for the Invicta 1805 Russian Diver, it says that I need to turn the crown clockwise while it's in the normal position. It says to keep turning until you feel resistance. I've turned it close to 200 times and the resistance hasn't changed - it still turns as easily as it did on the first turn. So, my questions is: Is this even a manual wind watch? I left it unwound for 2 days and it was still running. Please help. Thanks!
My very brief research shows that the Invicta 1805 watch is driven by a Japanese quartz movement. That would certainly explain why you're having trouble winding it.
The easiest check for quartz vs. mechanical is to observe the second hand. If it pulses only one time per second--i.e., jumps one second at a time--then you're looking at a quartz movement (I'm ignore the rare and expensive mechanical jump movements). If it looks like the hand takes 4 or more little jumps to get from one second to another, you have a mechanical movement.

It can happen to ANY watch! Take it to a reputable watch repair shop and let them fix it....just needs some loctite but the stem needs to be removed from the movement so the crown can be correctly put back on!

Watches vary in design but those that have a high degree of water resistance often screw the crown in.
Try turning the crown anticlockwise before pulling it out.

Most good dive watches with a screw in crown need the crown to be pushed in and turned clockwise AT THE SAME TIME in order to screw in the crown fully and make the watch watertight.
When you want to adjust the date or time, you just rotate the crown counter-clockwise until it pops out a bit. If you gently pull the crown out to the first position you can turn it to adjust the date. If you pull the crown out farther, to the second position, then you can turn it to adjust the time.
Never take your watch into the water unless the crown is fully screwed in finger tight or water will get into the watch movement compartment and ruin it.
