I have an onyko receiver tx ds 575 the sound from my tv to receiver to speaker is very low can't figure out why need help thanks

No, wd40, "please" first try checking the solder connections, 9 times out of 10 it's bad solder connections. Not every issue with older Electronics is Cap related!!! Onkyo is super easy to repair like I mentioned earlier, check the solder connections first, also check the ribbons, unplug the clean the contacts with DeOxit5, if you still need help, don't hesitate to contact me, good luck!!!

Hi, hope you tried to checked wires for short,speakers for short if its ok,factory reset again ,and then try Firmware update ,if it dont help contact your nearest Onkyo dealer :)

Could be the IC that controls the various sound/surround channel modes. Had that happen on my Pioneer receiver.
Charged me close to 200 bucks to fix!

you need to select speaker A or B option from the receiver. Also there are several Listening modes on your remote. Check these as well.

Replace the IR receiver diode on the front panel. Try HERO HIM602H from farnell.com, i used that one for my TX-DS 777. (i guess 575 using same stuff)

You need to buy an active (self-amplified) subwoofer. Attach it to the Subwoofer Preout connector.

Go into Speaker Setup (SP SYS/SETUP Button near upper right side of Op Panel) and follow the prompts.

The parameter we're most interested in is the question "Subwoofer Yes" or "No".

Some guidance when selecting speaker parameters for the rest of the channels:

SMALL vs LARGE: This has nothing to do with size so much as it deals with the BASS handling capacity of the speakers. If you say SMALL, most low frequencies from those channels will be re-routed from them to the Subwoofer. If you say LARGE the channels will still get the low frequencies they deserve.

I imagine you would be able to answer LARGE for all of your speakers.

Even if you have all LARGE speakers defined the Sub will still have work to do as it will be dealt the LFE (Low Frequency Effects) from encoded movies and all or most of the content below certain frequencies.

What preceded the problem starting? Was it spontaneous or human caused?

The age of the wires is less relevant than A) they're connected correctly; B) they're not shorting to anything.

You need to isolate the cause.

Disconnect all speakers and attach just one. Try it somewhere. If it works, use it to test all other speaker connections. Do they all work? No = isolate.

Yes - Add a second speaker to pair A or B. Still working? Move them to the other pair. Still working? Try the second set of speakers.

Not working? Isolate.
