Go to lowrance's website and run through their set up tutorial / instructions for the unit, there is also a software upgrade you can do online for the unit.

SOURCE: Power to Lowrance GPS

Hi,

Yes you have to hook up the red wires together to the + and both black ones to the negative, otherwise the antenna won't be supply in current , and don't forget to insert behind the red wire a fuse and a switch to avoid to discharge your battery .

Lowrance HDS-5 screen is all white when turning on.

My HDS gen 2 touch did this and I decided to open it up since Lowrance wouldn't help (out of warranty 2yr). The ribbon cable from the motherboard to the display came loose. Connected it back up and now I'm in business

What is the thread size for the four mounting on my lgc-2000 GPS

I found what you see below in the product manual. I recommend you call them as the only reference I found to the four mounting screws were that they were 4mm wide and 28mm long. The pole mount threads are 1" /14 threads. Hope this helps.

Lcx-15ct (gps module not responding)

Before you give up on the LGC-12S you have now though, try plugging the LGC-12S right into the LCX-15CT without an extension cable. If the module not responding goes away...you just need a new extension (GPSX-25G p/n 99-46).

The power cable has a set of yellow, blue, orange, and bare data wires. If these wires short together, you can get the module not responding error.

If all that doesn't help...the LGC-12S is bad.

The LGC-12W p/n 112-06 will work with the LCX-15CT. You probably get this at many marine electronics dealers or go to lei-extras.com and buy it straight from Lowrance. They cost $229 so you might want to shop around putting that money into a whole new system altogether.
Make sure you have the latest software updates if you get the newer LGC-12W. These can be downloaded at http://www.lowrance.com/en/Downloads/Product-Software-Updates/

Let me know if you need more help.

I have a lowrance LMS 332C GPS. After 5 years I

The LGC-2000 is bad would be the most likely cause, but if this started right after you changed the cables, Try connecting the NMEA 2000 network to a different power source than the main power. If you still have the original cables, and you didn't have the problem before, try using those again to make sure there isn't anything wrong with any of the new cables.

But most likely, the LGC-2000 is toast and you will want to contact Lowrance support to see about getting it repaired/replaced.

Where to put gps receiver, for fish finder, lowrance m52 s/gps

The receiver needs to be mounted so that it has a clear, unobstructed view of the sky. It will be fine through glass windshields, fiberglass and cloth tops. Keep it at least 2 feet away from the display unit.

Gps module

I just went through this with Lowrance. tthe LGC 2000 module on my LCX 20 depth finder "quit responding" out of the clear blue. You have to go Lowrance.com and they have some tests you can follow to see if it is a bad cable or the module itself. I had to replace the module. They charged $99 bucks plus $12.50 shipping for a new one. I bought it spring of 2008, and the unit was 3 months out of warranty when it quit working. Last season I had lower back fusion and didn't use it except for 2 times late in the season. Getting ahold of Lowrance is going to be an experience. I called twice and waited on hold over 35 minutes before I was suddenly cut off both times. I tried email too, but it took 3-5 days to receive a response. Mine broke down June 18 of this year. I started trying to get hold of Lowrance the next day. By the time all the back and forth emails with the delayed responses were done, I received my new unit on July 24. 5 weeks! with out my gps in MN. It is a short season up here as it is. I sure didn't enjoy waiting that long.
