do you have both power and ground wires hooked up?

I wish I could help but sadly can't! Presumably you've taken the card out and put it back in again.

Do you feel a click on the switch when you turn the power on?
If you don't then it could be a power button issue.
If you feel the click then check if the fuses are ok or if they have blown off they would need to be replaced if that's the case.
Otherwise it could be a capacitor problem but you would need some special tools like a power tester and a soldering iron.
To check the fuse you would have to open the unit. If it looks good use the power tester to check for continuity in the capacitors and the IC's to know which of them has a problem.
If you've tested them and they are working ok a very rare case would be a bad pc board.

have a lowrance lms-330c the depth no. keep changing from hi no. to low no. can not stop it,,, will not show true depth,,, can you help?,,,where can i send it to get it fix?

Try a hard reset:

1. Turn the LMS-330 off
2. Press and hold the ZIN, ZOUT, and PWR buttons
3. Release the three buttons once you see the "warning, do not rely..." message appear

If you get that far, the problem is solved. If you get boot failed again, try installing the latest update which can be downloaded from http://www.lowrance.com/en/Downloads/Product-Software-Updates/

If you still get boot failed, you will need to get the LMS-330 repaired/replaced. You can contact Lowrance support at 800-324-1356 or email them by going to http://www.lowrance.com/en/Support/Product-Support/Contact/

I think I can help with your issue. I have an LMS 334c and have had a few issues in the past. Called the factory (this answer is not listed any where in your manual) and they instructed me to "Soft Re Boot" my unit and it would put everything back to factory settings. Try this anytime it does not respond for whatever reason.

Turn the unit off.

At the same time press the Pages and Power button. Hold both down until you see the square box come up in the screen. You should have your factory settings again. May need to try a few times.
Lowrance said it works just like a computer, ever now and then it just tries to disect to much information at one time and hangs up.

reset finally did work

A "soft reset" can be accomplished by pressing and hold "Pages" key and press and hold "PWR" key till USA map comes on , then release both. A "hard reset" requires press and hold both "Z in" and "Z out" buttons and press and hold "PWR" button releasing all three when USA map appears.

i found that it was the gold maps in the mmc card reader. Remove card and see if it fires up. Also i can be the 60 ohm resister on the NMEA 2000 y cable

Greetings, Please consider returning the device to the manufacturer and purchasing a Garmin GPS from amazon, BestBuy, or Walmart. Garmin has been around for at least 1 decade and I believe has a more solid brand name than Lowrance. Thank you.

Hi, Please test the backup sd card on another GPS if possible to see if the zoomed-in section of the map file shows up or not. If it shows, then you'd need to send in your lowrance gps for repair from the water damage. Thank you.
