Verify if the radio is "Satellite ready" or if it comes with the remote tuner unit. I believe you have to buy a separate tuner add-on and antenna in order to activate the satellite circuitry - THEN it will show you a radio ID. I think ONLY the Alpine comes with the tuner. I would call Crutchfield and they can tell you what all you need with that tuner to make it work with the satellite radio.
The radio does not have a Sirius ID - it is not built in. THe CQ-HR1003u is Sirius READY - meaning... The CQ-HR1003U
can control an optional Sirius Satellite Radio tuner by Panasonic (item
#133SRT100).
In addition to the Sirius tuner, you will need an antenna and
subscription in order to receive Sirius Satellite Radio programming.
are you running the rest of your speakers off an amp? if so, it sounds like you have the amp remote wire connected to the power antenna wire. on some radios there is an amp remote wire and a power antenna wire. the power antenna wire loses power when not listening to the tuner (radio). usuall there is a solid blue and a blue with white stripe. the blue with a white stripe should be amp turn on.
When you unhooked your deck it still had power going to it, you need to unplug your car battery and plug it back in that should reset the deck and get the error message to go away.
Good luck,
Chris
Is this a "home burnt" CD? The code means CD ERROR #2.It is usually because the CD was written in a format the head unit can not play.If it is a studio CD. I would contact Panasonic and find out what code # 2 means.I had a code too because of what I said before but I do not remeber the # it was.
The wires for the two harnesses should be color coordinated or at least closely colored. The harness should have come with either a guide that says what is what or the wires themselves have little flags saying what they are. You can use this to match it up with CD Players wires by using the manual from the CD player to know which wire is what.
