Can I still use my prologic receiver for my LCD TV ?

Hi!
I have JVC receiver RX 884V. I bought this receiver about 9 yrs ago and I was able to set up a home theater with my Old JVC TV and Bose speaker system.
With this connection I was able to produce a home theater when watching my DVD.
When watching TV programs, the TV sound still comes out from my Bose speaker system.

A few months ago I bought Samsung LN-52A550 52" LCD HDTV and I tried to connect the same receiver and Bose speaker system to my new LCD samsung and my goal is to bring the TV sound out from this speaker system. Unfortunately, the TV sounds doesn't come out from Bose speaker system, the sound still come out from TV speakers.

My old JVC receiver has Optical input, I tried to connect the optical output from my 1080i LCD TV samsung to the optical input on my JVC receiver using the optical cable, why no TV sound came out?

The samsung manual had direction on how to connect a home theater using optical cable and I follwed the direction exactly.
I'm not much of an audio expert so I need help from someone who have more knowledge with setting up a home theater especially on the digital system.

My receiver is pro-logic but has 2 optical input on the back.

Alex

It's only no connector, like TV antenna socket. For coaxial antena cable, just plug it to 75 ohm and ground socket. No need jack/connector.

Video out problem

hi there might be a protector circuit and then it needs only a reset OR the amplifier and a couple of diodes have been shorted the fix can be very cheap (reset) or very expensive (depends if the amp itself is burned) in any way you got warranty!! (it wont work if you will say that you didnt hook it right....) good luck
