Lock Symbol With Nine Flahing

Battery Is Fine Tested With Battery And Without Took Out Battery Power Cable Held Power Button For 30 Seconds To Reset No Luck Powers Up For About 20 Seconds Fans Come On And With Only One Light Flashing A Lock Symbol With A Nine In It Any Help much Appreciated.

do you have the dell diagnostic CD??
if you have it may help you to figure what is wrong??

I suspect the hard drive may be on its way out. unfortunately you can't see the screen.

Most probably the seating of the processor on the motherboard is not proper

this happiness when you've used the laptop off power for some time. it indicts your battery levels. when the battery level is low to a certain %ge then it warns you before its totally empty. always power up your laptop whenever it lights or save your work in order not to lose unsaved data.

I have had three different laptops, last one an XPS from DELL which did the same thing. Replacing the battery solved all three laptops. How old is the battery you have in there now?

with most routers there is a reset button you can hold in for about 10 seconds which will return the device to factory settings. If this does not work try the 30 30 30 reset:
with the router powered on press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds, then without releasing the reset button, pull the power cable from the device and wait a further 30 seconds, then plug the power back in again without releasing the reset button for a final 30 seconds. You can then power off and back on and (fingers crossed) it should be OK. If this is not the case then it is bricked and unless you are good with electronics hardware you should just replace the item.

There is one thing you can attempt before seeking repairs. You should try a power reset.

1) Unplug the AC adapter
2) Remove the battery
3) Hold down the power button for 30 seconds and then release it
4) Insert battery
5) Plug in AC adapter and see if the laptop can power on

If it does not power on, you may need to seek support with Acer.

My Apple mac book pro will not boot up. I have a grey screen. I've taken out the battery held doen the on button for 5 seconds and re connected it nut I've still got a grey screen. Help
The grey screen is the bios of your laptop is booting, this is freezing for some reason.
Do 3 things.
Try holding power button down for longer at least 10-20 seconds.
do a PRAM reset, apple symbol, alt P & R keys all held on boot up.
Do a smc reset.
  1. Shut down the computer.
  2. Disconnect the MagSafe power adapter from the computer, if it's connected.
  3. Remove the battery.
  4. Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
  5. Release the power button.
  6. Reconnect the battery and MagSafe power adapter.
  7. Press the power button to turn on the computer.

How to use this linksys router
This router has a lot of problems, you should try to do a full reset on it first before using it. Look on the back it has a reset button, you will need a toothpick or similar.
Hold it in for 30 seconds, remove the power cable from the back whilst still holding in the reset button for another 30 seconds then plug the power cable in again whilst holding the reset button for another 30 seconds.
So in total you're holding the reset button for 90 seconds, removing power to the router in the 30 seconds in between.
This should fix the router.

Pretty old and robust router.

Reset the router and then try to reconfigure it. to reset follow the steps below;

At the back of the router you will find a small tiny hole (which has a small button inside it). Press the button with the help of a paper clip. Press it and hold it from 30 seconds and after 30 seconds without releasing the reset button take out the power cable from the router and wait for 20 seconds. After 20 seconds, without releasing the reset button plug the power cable back to the router and keep holding the reset button for another 30 seconds. Now, release the button and take out the power cable wait for 5 seconds then plug it back.

Test light does not stop flashing
Hi Michael,

If the router has test light continously flashing then tha indicates hardware failure with the router. Try resetting the router using steps below:

If the issue persists, then it is time for you to purchase a new router.

Flash symbol flahing with flashing number E9101 but does not flash only infer red light
Try this........

1. Turn OFF cam
2. Remove the battery or the power supply
3. Turn the switch to CAMERA for about 30 sec
4. Turn the switch to OFF
5. Install the battery or power supply
6. Turn the switch to MEMORY
7. Open the LCD cover and press the RESET button ( small inner button )
8. You will be prompt to adjust date/time. Do it
9. Take some pictures

You can only remove the "lock" function by using a DELL remote control (must be a Dell remote) and go to menu and follow instructions.
