I have been attmepting to download wii games via torrent sites - at the recommendation on mininova, i downloaded VUZE (formerly Azerus) bit torrent as was advised on mininova this was required to download wii games...
A game did download successfully - however when i burned this to dvd disc the Wii Console cannot read

You must descramble the wii games that you download. Then once they are in .iso format you can burn them using software. Check out this Wii Guide for more information.
That's because you need a modchip inside your Wii, like Wiikey...
So you can play any Wii Game (Japan, PAL, US Games) or burned Wii Games...
There is no point offering to help as there is no way of knowing if you downloaded a real game of a fake/corrupt file. You do have a mod chip, right?

I have been having the same problem. First, I will say that the site I downloaded from claimed that a mod chip was not necessary. I have installed the homebrew channel but when I put the dvd in, the wii console, nor the homebrew program recognize it.
Does brand make that big of difference? I have tried, memorex -R, TDK -R, TDK +R and Nexxtech +R. I have also tried two different games and have the same problem on both, so while it is possible to have downloaded two bad games, I would think it unlikely.
