Not only check filter but when filter out check for foreign objects fouling pump impellor. (bra wires are the favourite) if pump impellor not visible, then put onto drain and listen for a low humming noise in vicinity of pump. this confirms that pump is powered but jammed. all you can do after that is to check continuity of pump and check there is power to pump when on drain - assumes you have a multimeter

Tricity bendix 1400w will not start have heard 6 beeps

It is possible that the machine does not start off the cycle because there are errors due to feedback from the inputs. For the program to start up the main program controller must initiate the INLET/MOTOR/DRAIN pump/ valve to open up and allow each function to be driven starting from the flow of water into the drum as also the drain valve to open to exit the water at the point of the program cycle. If this does not happen then the voltage at the valve/motor/pump must be checked or the fault relates to no voltage from the controller. This means the controller is a suspect.

If the water flows then the flow should be good, if not the inlet valve is bad or there is dirt in the filter. Also check the flow at the inlet of the water line. Once the water comes into the system the WATER LEVEL SENSOR - normally a pressure switch- must activate at the preset/chosen level to give the signal to the program controller to switch on the motor. What is most important for the motor to start functioning is that the door switch must be ON when the door is shut or this will be an error for starting the motor for rinse and wash.

Check this link to replace the inlet valve:

http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/washing-machines/a/7/1408/how-to-replace-the-inlet-valve-on-a-washer-dr.html

Finally after the wash the drain valve will be activated, the water is allowed to come in to rinse and then finally the dry spin with the drain valve/pump activated so as to drain off all the water from the clothes during the spin.

Make sure that a fault in any of the cycle will relate to the specified action, so check the command from the program module and then the executing device be it the valve or motor or pump.

My bendix washing machine door does not open after wash cycle ha finished

  1. Is there still water in the machine when the wash cycle has finished? If so, the door doesn't open because there is still water in the machine. Try clearing the filter at the bottom of the machine, in the front. If this doesn't work, check that the drain hoses are cleared. If it still doesn't work, try replacing the drain pump.
  2. Is the "door" light still on? You may have a faulty door lock assembly, or your control board may be faulty.

Machine will fill and turn slowly but will not

Check motor capacitor first.Try moving the drum and see there is no extra friction. If your washer has got braking mechanism check the brakes also. ( I have no idea about this model regarding break)

Motor won't spin, with flashing "End" light and 3 beeps

this should be a blocked pump or waste pipe or pressure switch ( round grey disk with small pipe off the drum)

My AW1400W does not working

mine does this ..alot. its usually limescale buildup or other obstruction in the connector to the drainage pipe under the sink. One time it was limescale in the main filter down on the bottom righthand side. a real pig to get out and to clean!

Tricity bendix aw1400w will not spin

We had a similar problem, where it washed okay but didn't spin and just 'beeped' with end light flashing. When the drum was empty it was not moving round very freely.
Try unplugging the machine from the electricity. Then take top off machine off so you can see the casing outside the drum. There's a small rubber tube on top. If you disconnect that you can look through into the drum. Try turning the drum round slowly while looking through the hole. We found a sock wedged in which we managed to pull out through the hole (not easy and don't expect the sock to come out in one piece).
It worked - and we've had to repeat the procedure a couple of times now. Think I must be putting too much in the machine in 1 go, although there's always space at the top.

My tricity bendix washing machine flashing and beeping end light

Hi, we had something similar happen just before christmas. Our machine seemed to finish a cycle and started making beeping noise with end light flashing. Then when I switched it back on to do another load it just started beeping with end light flashing no matter what cycle was selected. Engineer has been out and advised that it is a fault with the motherboard so has ordered another one. Hope this is of some help. Machine was tricity bendix aw1400w.
